Problems keeping a charge,

My husband and I have used Braun, now Oral B, electric toothbrushes for going on 10 years. Our dentist insisted that for better home cleaning we do so. We were completey satisfied with the Braun appliances but it seems that since they've been Oral B that they don't hold a charge for long at all. I think we average 3 days for a single charge on one appliance and we do not share our appliances, so that's one chage lasting 3 days with the appliance being used once a day for about 2 to 2.5 minutes each time (we were advised to use itonly once a day to preserve tooth enamel). I hope Oral B will improve the battery chargers. We are now about to each buy another electric toothbrush which will make 2 new ones for each of us in a 12 month period. I hope this will be helpful to others in selecting their applianaces.
