I've enjoyed my Braun coffee maker, and this filter is one of the reasons. I have well water that already tastes great, but some grit gets into the tap water, and this filter takes care of that. People often say what I great cup of coffee I make, but I use perfectly ordinary coffee, just with really great water.

However... these filters are expensive and virtually impossible to find. No major retailer seems to carry them, and the Braun customer service center is only open during business hours, and does not seem to have a website that I can find... This filter system would be a lot more appealing if it were easier to buy and replace, and also cheaper.

I was happy to see that these filters are once again available. They are really nice for my Braun coffee maker because the water where I live is so hard. I bought this one and it came today. I thought it was the 2-pack, which is what I've always seen, but this price is for ONE filter. Our water is just horrible. Prior to purchasing this coffee maker and several of the little filters, I would just replace coffee makers every couple of months. No amount of cleaning would help. I loved this coffee maker, and have been really upset because I can't find the filters. Glad to find them here!!!

You're supposed to replace these filters every two months - I couldn't find them in a store anywhere and tried ordering them online directly from the manufacturer, but I guess my order was lost somewhere in cyberspace. Amazon to the rescue! I have finally replaced my coffee maker water filter after 2 years, and that's a good thing.

I received this water filter two days after I placed the order. I'm happy with the fast service. As for the water filter, you might want to consider rinsing it after taking it out from the package before inserting it into the coffee maker. Also, I ran water through the coffee maker twice before making the first pot of coffee for the peace of mind. If you have paper filter placed before running the water, you will be able to see little green particals in it at the end of the process.

The water filter is inexpensive and pretty good.. Serves the purpose and light on your pocket...

It really does make a difference when some of the chlorine is filtered out of your coffee (and even more so in your bourbon) water, but these filters are a rip off price-wise. It's hard to believe Braun wouldn't make money selling them at a third of the price.

These are good but barely worth the cost. Be careful, this is sold in single and twin packs for similar prices from several vendors. I accidentally got two singles when I thought I was getting two twin packs. I could have returned them, but the postage time and cost was not worth it.

I received the wrong item from the seller, Seneca River Trading. It was their mistake. I have sent 3 emails (the only method of contact provided by the seller)and have yet to receive a response or resolution. I am extremely disappointed with this seller!! Regardless of the cost of the item/s purchased, the seller/Amazon should be concerned with customer satisfaction. They obviously are NOT.

I have no idea whether or not this gizmo cleans the water for our coffee, but I buy it anyway. It is a little expensive if you change the filter often, but I don't.
