Oral-B's newest toothbrush is now Sonic. It has 3 modes of patient customization: Clean- for a thorough cleaning of teeth and gums. Side bristle motion and 31,000 vibrations per minute. Soft- for gentle care of the tongue and other sensitive areas. Softer side to side motion and 29,400 vibrations per minute with a lower amplitude. Massage- for gentl gum stimulation, Rhythmic side to side bristle motion, 24,000-33,600 vibrations per minute with variable amplitude. Soft Cushioned head buffers teeth and gums from vibrations. 2 minute Professional Timer signals every 30 seconds to encourage thorough quadrant-by- quadbrant brushing.

Just used this thing this morning and oh boy...feel like I just get my teeth cleaned by the dentist. I've been using Panasonic sonic toothbrush for over a year now and this Oral B Sonic Complete is way better. Faster speed then Panasonic. A bit heavier though and the "on"switch should have been positioned better. I keep hitting the "on" swith while using this thing.
Highly recommended. Amazon seems to list three different price for the same thing, so choose the one with the discout.

I previously owned a rotary electric toothbrush. The Excel is a superb brush, which cleans the teeth in an amazing up and down vibration pattern. I would never go back to manual brushing or an electric rotary brush. Try it -- your teeth will be glad you did!
