There seems to be some confusion over this product. I, too have a Braun FreeControl washable 1775. As best as I could research the matter, both on Amazon.con and on Braun's own site, this seemed to be the correct replacement screen and cutter block, in spite of indications to the contrary in some of the feedback. The replacement that I received came in a package labeled, "Braun 2000 Series, cruZer^3/cruZer." There was a paper label stuck across the top of the package that read: "For 1000/2000 FreeControl&Cruzer." The cutter block was identical to that of the FreeControl 1775, and the replacement screen unit was identical except in color: My original screen unit consisted of a black collar attached to a black foil mounting that held the metal foil; the replacement part came as a gray collar attached to a blue foil mounting. If the color is an issue, the foil mounting snaps out of the collar easily, so you can use your original black collar with the new foil mounting. (The collar doesn't wear out.) Hope this helps to clarify the matter.

This item was orderd to fit a Braun 1775 FreeControl shaver - exactly as listed - but when received it does not fit. This is a poorly spec'd item and inaccurately listed.

If you want a black one, like the first two pictures in the ad, then don't buy from this seller. The bait-and-switch-outlet will send you a blue one even though you wanted the black one and then will be extremely pissy when you complain. Then they reluctantly offer only to refund the purchase price. So ... guess what? You get to pay for them to ship the wrong thing to you and then you get to pay to ship it back to them. Isn't online shopping fun?

Braun shavers are premier electic razors. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find replacement parts for the 1000 series. When the parts are found, they are often almost as expensive as the original product.

As far as product performance, it is Braun quality at its best. However, the product photo showed a black foil head for the 1000 series, which I wanted as my Braun razor is that model and also black. What I received was a silver and blue foil head, which I would assume was for the Cruzer model. As the price was great compared to what I would have paid at retail locations (i.e. Walmart, Target) IF they carried them, I can't complain, but I would appreciate the product delivered to match the product ordered, and more differentiation if there is a difference such as color. I have a 1000 series and this thing fit like a glove (and not the O.J. kind). Blue housing? WTF? Mine is black, like the original. Speaking of the original, buying this basically made my razor new again. I didn't realize my blades were as dull as they were until I popped the new one on. 1,2, 3, BAM! Treat your face right.

Item shown in listing is the black housing for the Series 1000 replacement foil. What was received is the Series 2000 replacement foil, which has a blue housing.

The blue Series 2000 replacement foil DOES fit the black Series 1000 razors, but the seller should change the picture in his/her listing to relect the actual item.

Good replacement. Different color than my original shaver. But it totally restored performance. I hope it lasts another 1.5 years.

Picked this up for my 2+ year old Cruzer series razor and works great. The color did not match, but fits perfect.

This item was very reasonably priced and I thought it might be a replacement made by another company. However, when I received it, it was actually a Braun product and worked perfectly. This is a very cost-effective replacement.
