With its open design and multiple options, the 1,500-watt Braun FreeStyle iron delivers both comfortable use and high-speed results. The iron features a scratch-resistant Durasteel soleplate constructed with a nonstick finish to glide easily and quickly. In addition to a spray function, the iron also includes variable, vertical, and Power Shot steam. Controlled with a dial, the variable option releases up to 15 grams of steam per minute. The vertical feature lets you steam clothes or draperies while they hang. The Power Shot delivers a blast of steam--65 grams per minute--for extra-stubborn wrinkles in either the horizontal or the vertical position. The iron’s 71 steam vents are distributed in a pointed arc across the soleplate for even dispersal, and a simple instant interruption button lets you halt steam immediately. The iron can also be used dry.
The FreeStyle’s distinctive open handle design is comfortable to hold and reduces the iron’s overall weight. It features a soft-grip surface and allows room for the power cord to wrap around the heel. Both steam and spray buttons are soft and easy to engage, and the translucent 10-ounce water tank features a simple-to-fill hatch opening. The min-max temperature dial works in conjunction with a fabric guide printed on the heel. Both right- and left-handers can secure the 8-foot pivoting cord out of the way in an integrated clip. Goodbye Rowenta...FOREVER!!,

After purchasing numerous Rowenta irons that kept plugging up, not heating, quit steaming, spewed water everywhere, and soleplates that everything sticks to, I decided to try a name brand I have trusted in other appliances. Braun delivers fast heat, fast and continuous steam, has a huge water reservoir to eliminate constant filling. A lid snaps shut over the hole where you fill the water to prevent hot steamy water from accidentally spilling back out if the iron should be turned over. I am a seamstress and prefer this model that does not automatically shut off. When you are sewing, constantly pressing seams, there is nothing more frustrating than an iron that continually shuts itself off and you have to wait to heat back up.

i have been using this iron for a few months now and i love it. the design is great and it makes it really easy to use, and the performance is awesome! that powerful steam scares the wrinkles off my clothes and my cat as well. i highly recommend this iron, it has everything you could ask for your clothes and the price is just right.

and I never thought that I would say that about an iron! It is just THE best iron that I have ever even seen! It has every convenience and feature imaginable. It is SO comfortable to work with! I just LOVE it, and it was a GREAT BUY on Amazon!
