Isla Brava, Epica del Indio Taino de Boriquen is an historical story of the Taino Indians of Puerto Rico. The story covers the origins of these ancient Indians before Christopher Columbus, proceeded by the domination of the Spanish and concludes with the extermination of their culture. The book is written in Poetic Spanish verses, and the story includes romance and drama. Also included are original drawings by Carlos Caban, of the Taino Indians and graphics of ancient archaelogical artifacts of Puerto Rico. It is a cultural treasure.

I give this special book a five stars. Read it and it is beautiful. A cultural book unlike any other I've read. Because of it's poetry, drama, and the detail on history combined, makes this book quite special. I believe this book needs to be in schools to teach our young about our history, culture and art. Being of Puertorican origin I found this book interesting, informative, and I highly recommend it to all readers abroad.
