5.0 out of 5 stars Great Nursing Bra, January 3, 2005
This review is from: Bravado Basic nursing bra
You wouldn't believe how comfortable these bras are until you've tried one. I have a very difficult time finding proper sizes because my breasts are really large when I am nursing, but this bra has support like an underwire (the elastic at the rib band) but is really much more gentle and better fitting than an underwire bra. The snaps on the shoulders make it really very simple to undo your nursing cup with only one hand, and to re-button it too (which is really important when you're nursing on the go or sleeping). Plus they make these bras to accomodate women with very, very large breasts - something most bra makers aren't very good at.
I have tried many different nursing bras, this one is hands down the best. Worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Nursing Bra for Bigger Breasts, February 9, 2010

I was looking for a nursing bra that's comfortable enough to sleep in but still had enough support for me (42DD). I tried the Medela sleep bra, which was too lightweight for my full breasts, and regular sports bras, which caused plugged ducts from pressing down the tops of my breasts while nursing. A lactation consultant measured me and recommended this in the XL++ size and I loved it so much I bought another within the week. It's soft yet supportive, and my breasts don't fall out of the cups while sleeping like with my everyday nursing bras. The flap clasps are easy to do with one hand and the elastic holds me up without pressing too tightly.

This is a great nursing bra for sleeping and around the house, though I'd be fine wearing it in public too since it doesn't give you the "uniboob" most sports bras do. For help with sizing, try the manufacturer's website [...]. Don't be embarrassed by the "plus" and "double plus" terms...it's not necessarily just for plus-sized women, it's just the way they distinguish between levels of support.

I can't attest to the smaller sizes, but for ladies like me who have large, heavy breasts when nursing, this is a fantastic product.

While I was pregnant, I was trying to find nursing bras, and having a horrible time. Every bra I tried didn't fit correctly. I was a 36D prior to becoming pregnant, a 36DD in my 8th month, and as it turns out, a 36G once my milk came in. I tried a Madella Seamless Softcup Nursing Bra, but when the band fit, the cups were too small. I also shopped at some local stores like Target and had the same problem.

My sister-in-law who is similarly sized recommended the Bravado bras. I ordered the M+ and M++ bras when I was 9 months pregnant, figuring I was right on the edge of the 2 sizes. And they fit wonderfully! The M++ fits when I'm slightly engorged, it works very well overnight when my little one is feeding less often. And the M+ fits well during the day when he's feeding more frequently. The 1 handed clasp works very well, and truly does take just 1 hand to open and close, once you get used to it. The clasp also stays closed so you don't have to fuss with it. I've ended up getting 4 of these bras, and will probably get more since I intend to breastfeed for at least a year.

The only con with the M++ bra is that it cannot be worn with a low-cut blouse. It has similar styling as a sports bra. However, it looks a lot like a tank when you wear it with another shirt, so it works well for the layered look.
