Great Nursing Bra,
By
This review is from: Bravado Basic nursing bra
You wouldn't believe how comfortable these bras are until you've tried one. I have a very difficult time finding proper sizes because my breasts are really large when I am nursing, but this bra has support like an underwire (the elastic at the rib band) but is really much more gentle and better fitting than an underwire bra. The snaps on the shoulders make it really very simple to undo your nursing cup with only one hand, and to re-button it too (which is really important when you're nursing on the go or sleeping). Plus they make these bras to accomodate women with very, very large breasts - something most bra makers aren't very good at.I have tried many different nursing bras, this one is hands down the best. Worth every penny!

Great Nursing Bra for Bigger Breasts,
By
This review is from: Bravado Basic nursing bra
I was looking for a nursing bra that's comfortable enough to sleep in but still had enough support for me (42DD). I tried the Medela sleep bra, which was too lightweight for my full breasts, and regular sports bras, which caused plugged ducts from pressing down the tops of my breasts while nursing. A lactation consultant measured me and recommended this in the XL++ size and I loved it so much I bought another within the week. It's soft yet supportive, and my breasts don't fall out of the cups while sleeping like with my everyday nursing bras. The flap clasps are easy to do with one hand and the elastic holds me up without pressing too tightly. This is a great nursing bra for sleeping and around the house, though I'd be fine wearing it in public too since it doesn't give you the "uniboob" most sports bras do. For help with sizing, try the manufacturer's website [...]. Don't be embarrassed by the "plus" and "double plus" terms...it's not necessarily just for plus-sized women, it's just the way they distinguish between levels of support. I can't attest to the smaller sizes, but for ladies like me who have large, heavy breasts when nursing, this is a fantastic product.

Great nursing bra for larger chest,

While I was pregnant, I was trying to find nursing bras, and having a horrible time. Every bra I tried didn't fit correctly. I was a 36D prior to becoming pregnant, a 36DD in my 8th month, and as it turns out, a 36G once my milk came in. I tried a Madella Seamless Softcup Nursing Bra, but when the band fit, the cups were too small. I also shopped at some local stores like Target and had the same problem. My sister-in-law who is similarly sized recommended the Bravado bras. I ordered the M+ and M++ bras when I was 9 months pregnant, figuring I was right on the edge of the 2 sizes. And they fit wonderfully! The M++ fits when I'm slightly engorged, it works very well overnight when my little one is feeding less often. And the M+ fits well during the day when he's feeding more frequently. The 1 handed clasp works very well, and truly does take just 1 hand to open and close, once you get used to it. The clasp also stays closed so you don't have to fuss with it. I've ended up getting 4 of these bras, and will probably get more since I intend to breastfeed for at least a year. The only con with the M++ bra is that it cannot be worn with a low-cut blouse. It has similar styling as a sports bra. However, it looks a lot like a tank when you wear it with another shirt, so it works well for the layered look.

Great versatile bra, also for larger sizes.,
This review is from: Bravado Basic nursing bra
I got two of these at a local store. I have the Bravado seamless nursing bra, which is a dream and wanted to give this one a try. I needed something that was a bit more versatile for nursing- something that would allow me to pull aside the cup like a sleep bra but also allowed for drop-cup nursing. This fits the bill! It is very, VERY comfortable. I was a bit confused by the sizing, like the other reviewer said. I wear a 38DD in the seamless bra and went with a L although it indicates up to size 36C-D. It fits great. I'd say, go down one size. The XL would have been too big for me. I was a bit worried about my shape going out to the sides, but the bra is surprisingly supportive all around. It works great for around the house, every day, under wrap shirts and V necks. One other thing: the white and black have "hooks" like the seamless bra, not button snaps. I have seen the leopard pattern, which does have snap button closure on the drop cups.

This fits ok and is pretty supportive. The clasps are easy to use. I do not find it very attractive - definitely the 'uniboob' look, and worse than most sports bras because it is all kind of pushed forward. But that is probably a trade-off for being both supportive and accessible in a large size.I got the M++. I measured a 38 DDD. I had previously purchased an L+ which does not fit well..M++ definately was the right size.

I had high hopes for this bra with all the rave reviews but I don't like it at all. The shoulder straps are just way too short for me (I'm 5'9). I've never, ever had a problem with straps being too short with any other bra as you can always expand it more to fit. But even at full expansion the straps are just way too short for me and therefore cause the bra to ride up and causes discomfort on my breasts, something you don't want while nursing! I'll keep looking for the perfect bra for me, so far I can't find it!

pros:easy to put on; one hand clip; nice soft fabric; cons: not enough support; drop-cup design is not the most comfortable one; bottom line: kept it for a laundry day, but will be using medela's softcup nursing bra as a main one.

Great bra,

I wear a 42DD and ordered this in an XL. Overall I'm very pleased with the bra. My only wish would be for thicker straps. I think I needed to order it in a plus size to get thicker straps, but I'm not sure. It is a really comfortable option for someone looking for a nursing bra without an underwire. I removed the pads that came with it, though. They are a little lumpy and uncomfortable. And I use these bras with my Medela Freestyle handsfree breast pump. It was difficult to get the pads back in the right place when I was putting the bra back on after pumping. I would definitely recommend this bra!

Waste of money,

This bra is terribly uncomfortable. The elastic band at the bottom rolls up and digs into your skin. It requires 2 hands to get it snapped after you are finished nursing, which is next to impossible when you're holding a baby. I use this bra as my last resort if my other 2 are unavailable (i.e. they got spit up on or milk leaked on them). I got the other 2 at Wal-Mart for $10 each and I love them! They are very comfortable. This bra was $35 and I can't stand it!

Not as great as my other Bravado bras,

This is the third Bravado bra I purchased, but only the second style. The other two I have are the seamless and I LOVE them. I purchased this one according to the recommendations from the Bravado representative. Since these are pricey, i wanted to make sure I was buying my correct size, so I wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of returning. This one just doesn't seem to fit quite right. I spill out of the middle of the bra so I get that oh-so-attractive double boob look going on. I'm constantly having to readjust myself in the cups. However, once I reposition, the bra is very comfortable. Maybe if the fabric overlapped more in the center... Although, I do have to admit that I have this same problem with my nursing sleep gown (from Aimee gowns), so maybe it is just me. If you have other bras in this same style and they work well for you, then I would recommend this product. However, Bravado's other products are also very nice and long-lasting - I have had my other two bras for over a year, and with proper care (handwashing, hang to dry), they still look almost new. Definitely worth the money to spend on this product!
