I purchased this CD after hearing The Rounders in person at a Texas Maritime Festival and it has become comfort music in my house. The album is a well balanced blend of lively songs and instrumentals. Hank Cramer's incredible voice is deep and clear, with a richness that leaves the air vibrating behind his words. Steve Guthie provides a great harmony and terrific instrumentals on the hammered dulcimer. Together they have a smooth sound regardless of who leads. Sample Rolling and Flowing and Jolly Roving Tar, as well as Clancy of The Overflow. Gordon Bok should be proud to hear The Gin and Raspberry. I also like Kiri's Piano and When Fortune Turns Her Wheel.The comparison to The Kingston Trio and The Clancy Brothers hits the mark. Add it to your collection and you are guaranteed to have a song on your lips. Even my children demand it and have at one time or another memorized almost every tune.
