5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny
The only thing wrong with this book is you will have a difficult time reading it alound without laughing. I was brousing children's books for nieces/nephews and I could not put this one down. I also could not help laughing aloud at every turn of the page.

3.0 out of 5 stars Brave Monster Review
If you are scared of monsters then read this book to get rid of your fears. This is a picture book with great pictures in it. This is a book for little kids about 4-8 years old. This would be a great bed time story. Its not very long, it has about 25 pages wiht about 30 words on each page. The auther is Ken Baker and its illustrated by Geoffrey Hayes.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Bedtime Story for Kids!, October 4, 2001
This review is from: Brave Little Monster (Hardcover)
As I type this review, my 3-year-old is begging me, "Just read it, Dad!" My kids love Brave Little Monster. (BTW, me too. :)

The story is a charming twist on the child-conquers-fear tale. Reversing the role of child and monster helps alert little readers think about their fears and put them in a rational context (without realizing that's what they're doing). Brave Little Monster subtly delivers a wonderful message of empathy and appreciation for diversity without being at all heavy-handed about it. (Kids reading the book just have fun.) The illustrations are creative and bring life to the story. There are lots of little details to keep children engaged even after multiple readings.

If your kids are like mine this book is for you. Brave Little Monster is a wonderful addition to my bedtime library. I personally will be giving it as a gift to several family members and friends this Christmas, because I know it will be well received -- it's a fun book!

We read it over and over (and over) again, and my 3 year old gets a kick out of it every time. After reading this, he's not afraid of monsters anymore. I highly recommend this clever and funny book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Bedtime Book, January 18, 2007
This review is from: Brave Little Monster (Hardcover)
We checked this book out from our local library on a whim because our daughter loves monster stories. She loved it so much, we got it for her for Christmas. We love the illustrations, the fun spin on "scary things in the night," and the parts of the book that are perfect for shouting together with our daughter as we read. It has definitely earned its place on her "favorites" shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for scared little ones, January 15, 2007
This review is from: Brave Little Monster (Hardcover)
I bought this specifically because my son (35 months) is scared of "things" in his room at night. I believe reading this as well as doing other things has really helped! It is very cute and helps emaphasize that monsters are scared of little boys and girls.

I bought this for a unit on monsters. The kids (K-2) loved it. They thought it was really funny that monsters might be afraid of KIDS! Illustrations were great too.
