Writers, as a breed, possess a remarkable arsenal of powerful vocabulary. There are some, though, that transcend to levels of knowledge beyond that and become legends. Huxley is one of those few beings to have graced our world. His mind stretched far beyond that of the English language, reaching unto the depths of all languages, sciences, and art to craft his stories. Brave New World is an exceptional example of his talent. Despite how early in his career it came, it still showcased a wise and deeply knowledgeable man's abilities. This books concepts are fantastic even in our time, truly demonstrating how ahead of his time Aldous Huxley was. I highly recommend that everyone who gets the chance reads this novel and many of his other works.

This is an interesting and thought provoking book and it is amazing it was written so long ago.
In a nutshell, the books clashes between a well controlled society with a strong conditioning to consumerism and comfort but with no place for individuality, emotions or any other elements that can disturb this society of comfort and stability with a "primitive" culture, very much like ours, of freedom, lust, jealousy and instability.
The plot is interesting and the word build by Huxley is rich and pretty credible. I personally liked the fact that he does not paint a black and white picture (although I can guess where his heart lies), but rather compares and contrasts the two cultures with their complexities.
The writing style is a bit dated, but it's still a very interesting and worthwhile book.
