I recently purchased the game Brave for my Nintendo Wii. And after only 2 minutes of playing it, I was extremely dissatisfied with it. My husband and I are still playing it for the sheer fact that we like the storyline altho it is almost like a childish version of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The graphics are very pixely, the pixel to action ratio is very slow (there will be times that part of a cliff or wall will be completely missing and is just a giant black mass), the glitches are horrendous (example: Brave will land on a rock and fall thru it and die; also things like going behind trees and rocks and not being able to see whats happening on the opposite side, sometimes the object Brave is behind will become transparent but most of the time it blocks the view and its a guessing game as to where he is on the screen), the game play is very jerky and sometimes delayed. It is a very poorly constructed game and should be taken off the market. I have never been more dissappointed in a game as I was with this one. It was so not worth the $30 I paid for it. I've written to Southpeak Games and requested my money back for it.

I have been playing video games ever since I purchased my first Nintendo for my sons many years ago. I now own a Wii, and I am always on the look out for good adventure games for this system. My all-time favorite adventure games are the Zelda games and Okami. My second favorite game genre are some of the RPG games.
When I saw Brave: A Warrior's Tale, it looked as though it was going to be a good adventure game. There were no customer reviews, so I wasn't able to benefit from other people's opinions of this game. I bought it anyway, and I am very sorry that I did. You cannot control the camera, so you cannot see where you are going. When I got to the place where the hero is supposed to light a fire by striking a black stone, I was not able to start the fire; although I did everything the game prompted me to do. That's where I am stuck, and it's not very far into the game. Do not buy this game. It is horrible.

I was almost scared off by earlier ratings but was interested in the subject matter, was able to get the game for $10, and decided to buy it anyway. I'm glad I did. My seven year old, with a bit of help from me, still enjoys it after several weeks of occasional play. Yes, the graphics and game design have significant flaws - but I'm okay with that at the price we payed. Though some are difficult, we've eventually been able to solve the puzzles and overcome all the challenges so far (including the black rock fire-lighting mentioned in an earlier review).
In summary, the game design is far from perfect but it is interesting and entertaining. It's a good family choice if you can get it for $15 or less. 2115|R2BJENKD8EPUK0;2115|R1Z0AYG0XBLACB;2115|RODP6XGJK51FD;
