Better than "Happy".,

November 22nd, 2009If the world went my way, this would have been the first single off the album. "Happy" gets old too quick and besides the high note, it's not that great of a song. In my opinion, it feels like Tedder produced too many of her songs on this album because many have that same "bassy" beat. Anyway, enough of that! "Brave" soldiers on, providing a bit of an edge for Leona, sound-wise. It somewhat steps away from the light, background music that she normally produces and rains down, in all its glory. The only problem I have with this song is that even when she lets loose, I feel she holds back a bit. But all in all, quite the solid mid-tempo. 3.5 stars.
