Book Description

Silhouette Special Edition April 1, 2009
One visit to her ranch had landed him in the delivery room! All Gabe Bravo wanted was to convince Mary Hofstetter to sell him her land. But the young widow had barely told him to hightail it off her property before going into labour. Being an honourable Bravo bachelor, he stayed by her side, even after her little bundle of joy appeared. There was no denying Gabe had declared himself permanently single, and proud of it. But with his feelings for Mary growing deeper, he was torn: walk away from mother and child, or do what he’d sworn he’d never do – fall in love!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Story, Great Series, August 15, 2011

This is #24 of Rimmer's Bravo books.

The hero was engaging, but I didn't find the heroine a stand out in any way. The setting was slightly restrictive, rarely moving off of the her ranch. There is almost no plot, but I read this author for her characterizations, so that isn't a minus for me. The hero falls basically at first sight; the heroine who has been widowed for less than eight months, almost as quickly. This means that their romantic obstacles are purely of the emotional / angsty kind.

Although their relationship moves at lightening speed, the pace of the book seems leisurely. And while her wishes at the end seem unrealistic given the speed of their pairing, I thought her objection to the tone of the relationship was right on.

Another enjoyable Bravo story.

3.0 out of 5 stars would be a 5 if the story wasn't so rushed, April 13, 2010

If The Bravo Bachelor was a kindle-freebie i would have given it a 5star review, but having to pay for the book upped the expectation of it. The story started out kinda slow but then picked up speed faster then a tornado, the characters went from strangers to more in less then a day. Then add in the ending and the story completely fell apart.

Gabe is known as the fixer, he's the man you call when your out of options. And now its his turn to try to get Mary to sell her land the BravoCorp. He's always been known to get what he wants, but when Mary refuses to sell and sends him packing her water breaks. And the guy known as the Bravo Bachelor shows he's more then just the "fixer" and the Bachelor, but when he realizes the shocking news will he be able to handle the revelation?

Mary's husband left her with a hundred odd acres of land that they both loved when he died. He also left her pregnant, though he didn't know. Now BravoCorp is trying anything they can to get her to sell the land to them, and when Gabe comes knocking at her door it should have been simple to tell him to go away, but she doesnt. Then her water breaks Gabe turns into a friend. But when he becomes more can Mary handle to Bravo Bachelor?

The beginning starts slow, but once the story picks up everything happens so fast that it is completely unbelievable and ridiculous. Then add in the ending of the story(RIDICULOUS) and any good parts in the book are forgotten and the reader is left disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A confirmed Bachelor refined, May 15, 2009

This review is from: The Bravo Bachelor (Silhouette Special Edition) (Mass Market Paperback)
Gabe Bravo is known as the Bravo Bachelor and lots of women are after him. But he is sent out to talk a beautiful woman into selling her Ranch. He is not prepared to find her pregnant and about to deliver a baby. Her husband is dead so she is alone. He stays to help her through the delivery but has fallen in love with her at first site.
Gabe also falls for little Ginny when she is born. Things are going smooth until Mary brings up the discussion of marriage. They both love each other but Gabe just cannot bring that committment. He wants things where he can come and go and have his life but still take care of Mary. It seems most men are this way.
I enjoyed areas where Gabe was so unsure of himself. I also enjoyed where Mary talks to him of marriage and he disappears. The same happened when I met my husband. For a week he disappeared. But he came back and we've been married many years. I won't give away the ending because that would spoil it but it was a surprise.
This is a very good read but if you don't like sex scenes you will miss a good story. After all if you are married, you know about them.
