This item is really a waste of money, please and please again do not buy this item. The first second I put the so-called stretcher inside the shoe, the cheap plastic joints broke in both of the so-called stretcher. If you want to buy a very solid and good stretcher go to [...]. I bought one piece stretcher and it is solid steel and I paid only $21.00 for it, I really feel sorry, because I did not return the Bravo-fit piece of trash that I paid almost $ 28.00 for it plus shipping. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee do not buy this item.

I purchased, via Amazon, 2 pairs of size 11.5US EE ASCICS running shoes. The first pair were just plain running shoes and second were the trail shoe version. The runners fit very well but the trail shoes really pinched my toes. I made the mistake of wearing them on my visit to Alcatraz and by the time I made it back to our hotel my toes were very sore. I tried cutting some of the inner sole away but that did not really help so I sent away for the shoe stretchers.
I repaired the cut inner soles with tape and carefully applied just enough stretch to the toe area to effect a just noticeable change. I was aware some folks have over-done this bit and broken the stretchers. My intention was to leave the stretcher in place for 24 hours and then trial the shoes and apply more stretch if needed. They did not need anymore stretching. Suffice to say the shoes fit great now and have even been worn on a trail run with no pain at all.

My new work shoes were killing me so much I did not even want to walk out in the plant.. I used these stretchers to give some space for my big right toe and on the left space for my longer toes... worked great.. the shoe hold the shape nicely... who knew such things existed!

I wanted to purchase a two way stretcher for multiple pairs of shoes that needed to be widened and in some cases, stretched. Most 2 way stretchers that I had purchased in the past were cheaply made and were useless after one or two uses. I took a chance on the Bravo-Fit and bought a pair. Upon arrival, I inspected the workings of this device. The Bravo-Fit is constructed out of the same cheap plastic parts that were quickly broken on all of my previously purchased models. I was optimistic and attempted to widen a shoe with the Bravo Fit which immediately snapped a plastic "wing" inside the widening gear after three turns of the handle. Amazon was kind enough to refund my money. If you have need of a serious two way stretcher that won't break and works very well, your ONLY choice is the German made "Foot Fitter Supreme Pro" that can be found on the web. It's fairly expensive, but I've found out the hard way that sometimes-you get what you pay for.

I have purchased other shoe stretchers in the past, could have saved a lot of money if I bought these first. They are made very well and are really good. I used them in three pair of new shoes. Ahhh, comfort. The old shoe stretchers I had in the past fell apart after awhile and really did not do a good job. These did and are made to last. Buy them, you'll like em. For Sure.

All I can say is stupid...stupid...stupid. It arrived and upon opening the package, a piece of broken plastic fell out. Okay, maybe it was from shipping and maybe the piece was insignificant...wrong...

It was an important piece and why it was plastic to begin with was beyond me. So I took the stretcher that wasn't broken and attempted to use it. Well that same piece broke.

When I say stupid...I'm referring to why any designer of consumer products would use vinyl/pvc plastic on a part that is under pressure. By simply making it metal, this product would have been great. Pennies to make a mediocre product great...stupid...stupid...stupid.

There is a happy ending to this little story. I went to the hardware store, spent about $10 and completely redesigned them to be heavy duty and now they work great.

These shoe stretchers are advertised to accommodate men's shoe sizes from 9 to 14. I wanted to stretch size 13 so I ordered them. Unfortunately, the threaded tube that stretches the shoes ran out of travel around size 12 and would not go further so they were useless. There were no instructions of any kind. Some plastic pieces were included but without instructions there was no way to determine their purpose. I spent several hours in my workshop fashioning washers and spacers to extend the reach of the threaded tubes but I do not advise anyone to try this. This manufacturer either needs to extend the length of the threaded tubes (easily done) or rate these stretchers up to only size 11 or 12. Not a happy camper with this purchase.

The steel screw has a plastic spreader on the end. I tightened it down and big surprise, the plastic came apart.

these shoe stretchers are horrible. they are difficult to use and one of mine broke the first day. amazon has a "no return if opened" policy so this was a $30 lesson

Poor quality product. I used these for the first time and one of them stripped out and became useless. Very cheap quality wood and the mechanism inside is cheap plastic. Make sure you get one with real quality wood and metal screw mechanisms or you'll just waste your money like I did.
