If you want to hear a incredible bossa nova performer you can buy some Joao's stuff, if you want to hear blue-eyes try some brazilian moods you can buy Sinatra-Jobim's, but if you want to hear the fragile tenderness of this great poet, you cant miss this record.

This is a very good album by the master poet Vinicius, however some of his best and most famous songs are missing from this album. If you want to listen to the cd that does not leave the cd player in my car....get "Personalidade the best of Brazil".

Not bad,
This review is from: Brazilian Collection (Audio CD)
I gave this recording 4 stars because of my great admiration for Vinicius de Moraes and because of the unbelievably potent version of "Canto do Ossanha" offered live by Elis de Regina on this disc. However, the other interpretations of de Moraes' work offered on this disc range from acceptable to good. Buy it only if you want an overview of his work or cannot find "Dois na Bossa" by Regina. If I had to do it over again, I would have found a used copy of the disc (I saw a copy for 6.95 at Towerrecords.com) for half the price.
