Our 6 month old son was given this CD as a present by his uncle one month ago, and we have all listened to it dozens of times since then. The music is both fun and beautiful, and definitely not just for children (unlike "French Playground", for example). A few tracks (such as "Halo Halo") are so delightful and pretty that my husband and I walk around singing them to ourselves. This is by far the best Putumayo Kids CD I've come across.

My husband grew up in Brazil so I wanted some Brazilian music for my son. He loves this CD - and so do I! Unlike so many children's CDs, this is enjoyable for adults as well. It samples many brazilian music types.

My son listens to a number of the Putumayo playground cds, and we really have fun with this one. My husband and I find ourselves singing along.

Fun CD for babies to dance to. I'm guessing older kids will love it too.

I love the Putumayo series of children's music. I owned a children's play center and wanted music playing in the background. Some children's song can be very, let's say, annoying for adult to be subjected to for hours at a time. I and others found these CDs to be fabulous! With music from around the world, children are exposed to different languages, rhythms and instruments. I highly recommend these CDs!

I enjoy all of the Putumayo musical CDs. The liner notes are a must! It allows you to not only enjoy the music for its own sake but to understand what is actually being said.

After wearing out on Elmo, I needed some music that I could listen to as well. My daughter taps her feet & hands while we're driving in the car to this CD, and I can listen to every song and enjoy the whole CD. Most of the Putumayo CDs are incredibly diverse and great entertaining music.

I've purchased the Putamayo cd: Brazilian Backgrounds based on a friend's recommendation and due to the fact I am Brazilian, but live abroad and I would like to have my son-10 month old, born here, to be exposed to our first language as much as possible. So I thought this would be a great opportunity to do so. And so it is. not only he enjoys the music, but also me and my husband. It includes songs from our folclore in a variety of Brazilian rythms which reminds us of our own childhood! Great product.
