About the Author
James C. Russell received his M.A. in the History of Christianity and his Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Fordham University. He has taught theology at St. Peter's College and is the author of The Germanization of Early Medieval Christianity: A Sociohistorical Approach to Religious Transformation
(New York: Oxford University Press, 1994). Dr. Russell, his wife, and their three children reside in Westchester County, New York, where he has been a candidate for Congress, receiving over 48% of the vote in the 2004 Republican Primary.
