This review is from: Bread, Hashish, and Moon: Four Modern Arab Poets (Unicorn Keepsake Series, V. 10) (Paperback)
All i can say is that this an incredible collection of Poetry. Other books to Explore are "Love, Death, & Exile" by Al-Bayati and also "Modern Arabic Poetry" translated by Salma Khaddra. I especially enjoyed the last poem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ben Bennani Introduces The Best of Modern Arabic Poetry, March 24, 2001
By A Customer
In his Introuction to Bread, Hashish, and Moon, Pulitzer Prize- winning poet Richard Eberhart writes, "This is a valuable book for Western readers. The four Arab poets presented here deal in their separate ways with many of the same problems confronting Western poets, indeed encountered by poets everywhere in the world: the difference between reality and imagination, present reality and artistic significance, the power of poetry to state and to evoke, and recognition of the human condition, its struggles, stances, and subjects. These Arab poets are discovered to have values readily accessible to Wetstern feelings. It is an enjoyable, flowing book, easy to comprehend, and good to know."
