Where's SF Mabel Joy?,
By Ken (Milledgeville, GA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bread & Roses: Acoustic Festival (Audio CD)
I wore out my vinyl 2-album set of this concert. "SF Mabel Joy" was my favorite song and "General Guinness" one of my favorite humorous songs. Both got cut. This should have been a 2-CD set to preserve the original. That said, it is still a great recording. I am especially glad that they didn't cut Hoyt Axton's rapping with the audience--priceless, especially now that he's gone.

Bread & Roses is a great collection of folk.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bread & Roses: Acoustic Festival (Audio CD)
Bread and Roses is one of the best folk collections we own. It is always a good listen and a great mood lifter. Jesse Colin Young's Sugar Babe is great for taking rush hour stress right out of you. Anyone who loves acoustic collections will undoubtedly want to add this favorite to their catalog. Happy Listening!

I was exicited to find this on CD. I haven't heard it in years. However, when it arrived I was disappointed to find that two songs had been cut to fit to one CD. I'd rather have two with more music than one with less.
