My 2nd grade teacher gave me this book when I was transfering to a new school at the start of 3rd grade. Over the years, I read the book over and over again. I feel that it is a great addition to any girl's library. It shows another point of view of pioneer life - other than the Laura Ingalls Wilder one we all know and love.
