Editorial Reviews

2007 album from the Drum 'N' Bass artist. Aphrodite is best known for his work with Mickey Finn under the Urban Takeover guise in the second half of the '90s, when he helped to pioneer the energetic, exciting sound of Jungle. 18 tracks including 'Criss Cross', 'The Valley' and 'Return To Jedda'. Moist.

Unlike overdrive, which had substantially less 'Aphrodite' made tracks, this one is entirely by the man himself.

Chances are if you've found this CD, you want it. So buy it.

I personally thought it was worth the money for Luna Rain by itself...

3 stars may even be generous; for the most part, I was disappointed in this purchase. Though, the music does offer some fresh Aphrodite tunes, the use of featured vocals and lack of the "jump-up" style this artist is so well-known for godfathering tampers the length of the entire album.

simply amazing....this album blew away aftershock....my only problem with the album was the female vocals layed down on a couple of the tracks, if it was samples chopped in that would have been fine, but the singing made the tracks sound a little bit like pop music, hence the 4 stars...other than that the bass kicked hard on every track.

Is Aphro trying to reinvent himself or has he been touring way too much? I would call this album Electronica/Drum and Bass. I am a fan so I'll let it grow on me. This is not the hard pumping/thumping Drum and Bass that you may be used to. It's mellow and electric.

Wow. I love this disc. Maybe like 2 tracks that dont totally rock. The rest is pure d+b gold.
