Mindblowing Vocals - Can't Wait for the Album!,

I just downloaded the new single. This song is gorgeous and a perfect medium for Jon Peter Lewis' rich, warm, soulful vocals. The clear, soaring pop melody will make for a great addition to this summer's radio rotation. Can't wait to get the whole album and road trip with it! I can already feel the summer breeze calling to me and my convertible ;)

In a time when so many former American Idol contestants are losing their record deals, in steps Jon Peter Lewis with a sound and style superlative enough to break through the mists of the music world. In other words, Jon's "Break the Silence" is totally awesome. His voice on this song is perfect and brims with longing. Most listeners will be able to relate to "Break the Silence" since it treats a common situation, namely, people's reluctance to take a risk and express love. The song ends up being powerfully ambiguous, thereby making it a cut above the normal pop song.
Jon's voice has superb quality and uncommon expressiveness. Overall, I recommend people buy the song (and the whole album). You will not tire of hearing this song because it has much more going for it than the vast majority of songs on radio today.

I love this album. I liked Jon Peter on American Idol, but his voice has come a long way since then. Great music from a talented person. I hope this album really puts him on the map, because that's where he ought to be.

Some great songs on this album!,

The first time I heard "Break the Silence" on Sirius radio, I loved it after the first listen. Some songs take a few times to appreciate, but not this one. There are four songs on this album that I really love. They are; "Break the Silence", "Beautiful", Winning Streak", and "Came Here For." I also like "If You Don't Mean It", just not quite as much. Being a songwriter myself, I was really looking forward to JPL's self penned tracks, "Have I Told You", and "Tonight." But, I must say I was disappointed in both of these tunes. They are very rough feeling, acoustic type tracks, which is fine, but they just don't really deliver IMO. Jon's voice sounds absolutely fabulous on many of these tracks, and I am really happy to have discovered this album. I would recommend it to anyone.

He must have one of the most beautiful voices I have heard in some time, the lyrics .. touching. If you can only buy one song off this album I subbest Everbody Falls.. A reminder that we all need sometimes.

Break the Silence, indeed!,

This album is truly fantastic. Jon Peter Lewis has proven himself to be one of the best songwriters to come out of the "Idol Machine" and his rich vocals really give a nice depth to the songs. The music is really good, guitar-pop, reminiscent of Hanson on their Underneath album, on a few tracks. Other tracks have a nice blues influence and work really well with his voice. The Dylan cover is nicely done and will put a smile on your face. I'd consider this album perfect driving music and I could easily see a lot of these songs on the radio.

This is one artist I truly recommend. Here's why... Jon Peter Lewis is easily one of the most talented young artists in music today. After his stunning debut album "Stories From Hollywood" was released in November 2006, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of another album from Jon. Although the full-length album "Break The Silence" won't be released until June 3, this debut single of the same name has already given pleasure and inspiration to many fans since Jon has been gracious enough to share a music video for the song on his website and MySpace. Unfortunately, my computer is ill-equipped to handle multimedia and downloads, so I haven't actually been able to access either the single or the video. However, I have been assured that the full album will be available in hardcopy, so that will be wonderful. While I am unable to review the song (because of aforementioned technical problems on my end), I can recommend Jon Peter Lewis as an artist based on the strength of his previous release. Jon's songs perfectly match a high energy rock beat with incredibly catchy rhythms, and have a pure and hard to resist feel-good quality. Much of that comes from Jon's powerful yet tender voice, and his warmth and generosity as a human being. Jon is not only a fabulous singer/songwriter/guitarist, but is also an active humanitarian who has worked with organisations like Camp Kindle and Adopt-A-Minefield. Talent, charisma, and a social conscience...what more could you possibly ask for? I know...a concert tour Down Under would be nice! Next week would be perfect! ;) Cheers, Mikey :)

All in all this CD is pretty good. Its no way a Duaghtry or Underwood CD, but defintiely up there with Bo Bice's and others. Goos tunes, smooth vouice..just a bit unpolished. if you like JPL and Idol CDs, then get it!
