Editorial Reviews

Voices Of Extreme is the New York based Metal/Hard Rock supergroup that burst onto the East Coast scene in 2006. Their debut CD "Hypocrite" (produced by Danny Spitz of Anthrax fame) immediately found favour with critics and listeners alike, propelling them to the forefront of Metal s hierarchy. Experts at their craft, V.O.X. has earned songwriting credits on Van Halen's DVD entitled "The Early Years," as well as endorsements with ESP, Charvel and Hartke. Over the past three years, V.O.X. has shared the stage with Paul Di Anno, Kamelot, Godsmack, Symphony X, Alice in Chains, Dokken, Zebra, and Twisted Sister, proving their mettle as a premier live act on the Eastern Seaboard. The anticipation is over and Voices Of Extreme are ready to Break The Silence !

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Infectious Modern Hard Rock September 10, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
These guys play modern hard rock with a slight nod to the past. The vocalist reminds me of 80's rock bands, but doesn't let it get to the point where it is retro. He can definitely sing. The music is varied between rockers and slower songs, but the common denominator is that ALL of the songs are infectious and well-written. Great riffs, sweet melodies, and choruses that get stuck in your head. Odds are that they won't get the radio airplay they deserve, but if you are reading yourself a favor and give them a listen.

File this under other current rock bands with great songwriting: Sixx A.M., Hardcore Superstar, Bad City, The Last Vegas

UPDATE: I just received this CD and am disappointed in the packaging. It is a single flap digipak with no insert or band information. If they are going to skimp on the packaging the cd should be $10. Might as well buy the MP3 version.
