The album is packed with songs by great producers, great songwriters and lead by Kelly's amazing voice. It feels like a young woman's diary, filled with pain, pleasure and touch of cynicism that feels just right. This album shows how versatile her voice is, and her complete control & wonderful range of her exquisite vocals. Glancing at the liner notes, we find that Clarkson is credited as either the main writer or as a smaller contributor on several tracks. Looking further, we find she provides all vocals (including all background vocals) throughout the entire disc. Amazing. Nope, no silly posturing, no gratuitous self-promotion, no flashy studio trickery here. Just great, great music from a great artist. This album deserves to become a classic.

'Breakaway', the first song, was written by Avril Lavigne (among others) and Kelly Clarkson does it perfect justice. It's a medium slow one with some fantastic vocals in the chorus and the last verse.

'Since U Been Gone' has an incredibly catchy bridge and chorus, and is a more up-beat contrast to the first song. This song will gets you up and movin' in your seats.

'Behind These Hazel Eyes' has some great guitar, and is similar in structure to 'Since U Been Gone'; a slightly quieter verse compared to a loud-ish chorus. Kelly also co-wrote this song. You'll find yourself singing after you listened to it. Just great

'Because of You' is probably the most powerful ballad on this album, and was again co-written by Clarkson herself. While the vocals are still excellent and she makes good use of her range, her voice is kept gentle to match the style of the song and changes accordingly with it; this song really reflects the immense talent she has.

'Gone' is an uptempo number, but it works perfectly! It's so catchy, very cool chorus & verses. One word: FUN!

'Addicted' is a mid-tempo/dark feel track but combines guitar and other instruments with it! The lyrics are well-written, and it's so haunting! This is definitely one of the best tracks of this album, and you will be `addicted' to it!

'Where Is Your Heart' is another ballad. Kelly really makes you feel emotions through the song very well.

'Walk Away' is quite a funky song, with a really good rhythm. It's hard to stop wiggling away to it in your chair while listening!

'You Found Me' is very easy to listen to, and the chorus is fast paced. The way she sings the verses is good and suits the melody perfectly.

'I Hate Myself For Losing You' is another fantastic song. It quakes with emotion. It soothes. It enchants. Kelly is a masterful & passionate storyteller.

'Hear Me' is another dark power ballad. It starts slowly but explodes at the chorus. The piano is brilliant and the guitar in the chorus is amazing. Another fabulous display of her lyrical ability and her amazing vocal!

`Beautiful Disaster (Live)', this live version, captures the quietness of the song perfectly and it's so beautiful. Kelly's vocal really soar in this song.

All in all, this album is brilliant; the vocals are amazing, and there is a good range of music style from the American Idol winner. Kelly also shows that her talent is in writing music as well; she has co-written a number of songs from the album, all of different varieties. The songs are well written and the vocals are phenomenal she has surpassed American Idol; she's a diva and a force to be reckoned with. Kelly is unstoppable.

My opinion: The best album of 2005!
Album average: 4.2/5! A very good score for an album. Mostly there always is/are one or more I don't like, but not on this album!

The US version continues to blow my mind, but this imported enhanced version makes me wanna explode in joy! This is the most brilliant idea ever! This CD is not a rip-off, we have the Breakaway album, Bonus Disk 6 Live Tracks and Remixes, and 3 Music Videos, Then we have completley redone album art! Dope! I am Kelly's BIGGEST FAN! And this CD is just off the charts, best import EVER!

this is a cute lil package for the price it includes the listed remixes + the since youv been gone, behind these hazel eyes, because of you video + the songs on these were enhanced

This album is simply the best! It showcases the great depth, range, and versatility of Kelly's voice within a very diverse menu of songs!! She is a shining star with a velvet voice. Kerry Underwood may eventually out-sell Kelly in total record sales and she is a wonderful talent as well, but Kelly is the bomb! Kerry should probably stick with country, where as Kelly can sing virtually every form of music out there! I'd love to see her record an R&B album and sing it live on tour!

This CD is an example of a real rarity these days... that being a CD that has more than one or two good songs, and this is one that grows on you and gets better every time you hear it. In fact my personal opinion is that the first 10 songs on disc one are worthy of calling this a crossover rock, pop, and even punk album. Not since Heart and Benetar was around has there been such a talent that could do this (IMHO). The girls got pipes! and traverses from sensual to searing with amazing ease.
This definitely outshines her "Thankful" CD by light years! Missy K would do well to use the same producers, songsmiths, and musicians on her next project, as this was surely a winning team.
Don't do like others have and go too easy listening soft now Kelly, keep knocking out some those kicking songs...

Forget about the US release...this one has the videos, live versions of some of the songs (the great ones are Breakaway and Miss Independent) in addition to the songs on the original version. It's really worth the extra money.

Kelly Clarkson is an amazing singer. Her vocals continue to stun many people worldwide. Her driven passion, hard work and talent continue to blow the minds of people. Kelly is truly a star and is pretty hard to top. Kelly Clarkson truly has talent!

This IMPORT CD contains not only "Breakaway" but a Limited Edition Enhanced CD with 6 Live/Tracks and Remixes and 3 Music Videos and redone photography. This CD really is one of the best Pop CD's out there! The new photography that replaces the old photography is just icing on the cake! Kelly sounds amazing in all of the live tracks and remixes! This is the CD/IMPORT to buy! I reccomend it to everyone {especially if you love pop music and/or are a die hard fan of Kelly!} Rock on KC!

I bought Breakaway, the US version a few days before it was released and let me tell you how iffy i was... i loved kelly since day one on Idol and wasnt ready for the rock sound. But a few tracks hit me and the mroe i listened the more it grew. her talent is so huge, from writing and singing and touring. shes a hardcore go getter. and pure talent.. which isnt something you see everyday anymore. it seems the grammys has been a popularity contest up until 2005. more talent is there. and kelly is leading everyone around the world. this CD is incredible. when it was released around the world with a different cover i wanted to import it, only to find it released at Circuit City too in the States... with this bonus disc. this 15 dollar purchase has been one of the best and favourite buys. The cover is great, the behind these hazel eyes remix is AWESOME and the live breakaway is the best version ive heard. i have over 200 kelly songs on my iPod, and out of all the breakaways i have, this is the best. I recommend this tour package to anyone and everyone

I HAVE THE US VERSION, AND FELL IN LOVE WHEN I HEARD IT, BUT AFTER I SAW THIS COME OUT I COULD NTO WAIT TO GET IT, TOTALLY REDONE COVER ART, NEW PICTURES, NEW BACK COVER AS WELL, THE REMIXES ARE AWSOME, ALTHOUGH I ALREADY HAVE THE REMIX OF SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE, AND ALL THE MIXES OF BEHIND THESE HAZEL EYES BUT THIS ONE, THE LIVE SONGS ARE AWESOME...I LOVE KELLY CLARKSON, SHE IS ONE OF THE MOST TALANTED AND TRUE ARTIST OUT THERE, I LOVE DANCE AND ROCK AND TECHNO, BUT WHEN U WANT TRUE REAL TALANT, KELLY IS EVERYTHING!
