I bought this experiment of Brit Comedienne Ullman on vinyl years ago after hearing her re-make of They Don't Know on Atlanta radio. Her version stopped me cold. Tracey no doubt intended to lampoon every girl group lament she could recall from her youth in England. However, you can forget that this is a spoof. The result is a modernized tip of the hat to tunes that started as little more than B sides but ended up here as masterpieces. If you like catchy tunes performed extremely well matched with excellent production, buy this CD. If you also remember and bear a fondness for the original tunes, so much the better!
