5.0 out of 5 stars BBS showing off!
This Cd rocks, but...it starts off slow...once you get to song 9 IT'S ON! it blows up from then on like hardcore as can be! i like this CD alot cause it is more jungle type.. it's good, but the Klute one is better for the HARDCORE beats

2.0 out of 5 stars The price is right.
I am not sure why this compilation garnered such high scores so far. Maybe because I am into a different brand of dnb, but the tracks on this CD are among the least musical pieces of noise I have heard, with rare exceptions. The beats are rather cliche dnb, which in itself is not too bad. The deep sub-basslines sound great production-wise, but the patterns are often...

The beats are rather cliche dnb, which in itself is not too bad. The deep sub-basslines sound great production-wise, but the patterns are often nonsensical.

Generally, if you like very repetitive hard and fast dnb with powerful bass and sinister yet musically simplistic soundscapes, then by all means, get this cd. However, if you expect something fresh, clever, or something that has at least a little bit of musical value, look elsewhere. This is not Roni Size, Aphrodite, or Pendulum. This is dumbed-down Dieselboy.

I like this album quite a bit. Juju has some serious skills on the decks and I applaud his choice in tracks for this release. One thing that kills me though is the reviewer who says that this is dumbed down Dieslboy. Listen, you could say stupid things like that about ANY artist. I hate to break it to you, but even Elvis wasn't original. The Rolling Stones freely admit to adapting American blues artists to suit their own style. So get over it already man. If you want Dieselboy, then listen to Dieslboy and quit whining about what isn't Dieselboy. To many of the Brits, Dieselboy is a dumbed down version of their own DnB artists. Enjoy this disc for what it is!!!

Another CD in the series of Breakbeat Science Exercises... starts out a little weak but ends up not disappointing in the end. Take a listen... at this price, how could you not?!
