WARNING!!! Limted Edition is a FAKE!!, March 5, 2007
This review is from: Breakin' 2 (Audio CD)
I bought this Limited Edition soundtrack hoping I would finally get all my favorite songs from the film on CD. Pros: The Limited Edition CD does contain some sweet tracks only released on LP/Vinyl that ARE very hard to find just like it's stated on the CD. I enjoyed listening to these tracks but having "Set It Out" several times on the CD is such a waste. Cons: Even though this CD claims to be "factory pressed" and have Polydor stamped all over it, this is an unofficial release. How do I know that? Quality. I own several Polydor/Polygram CD releases of rare artists and songs and one thing is always clear to my ears. They are made using the original MASTER TAPES. The Limited Edition of the Breakdance 2 soundtrack has been made using LP or VINYL sources. The songs have obvious muffled clicks and pops plus the sound is watered down (due to the effort of trying to place too many filters on an LP/Vinyl source to "correct and clean it"). This is true for all the tracks on this Limited Edition CD. What a damn shame! My suggest to you is, if you don't care that you are listening to a filtered VINYL version of the Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo on CD, and just wish to listen to some cool hard-to-find tracks, be my guest. If you are an avid CD collector of officially released soundtracks this [Limited Edition version] is a SCAM and you should save your hard earned money for a possible future re-release of this soundtrack by Universal Music.

get your boogaloo on!, June 18, 2005
This review is from: Breakin' 2 (Audio CD)
as if they didn't put out a winner with the first, the sequel is no exception! me and the gang (the electric sizzle chests) got our 2nd wind with this movie/album, and the ladies got their fair share of the action when we were breakin hard to this sequel. some people like fancy cars, fine wine, and erector sets, that's all fine and dandy, me and the sizzle chests will be gettin our electric boogaloo on for the rest of our lives! we won 3 talent shows with our breakin routines with the first film, then when the boogaloo came out, we nearly took over the world (well if you consider our neighborhood breakdancing community the world, it is to me!) Darren Wonderful (our manager) got us a gig at the state fair, lets just say it was free bratwursts, beer, and all the woman we could handle after that affair. Chubby Lou and Cheese Grits got into nearly 12 fights due to all the commotion we were making with the ladies, let me tell you i nearly broke my wrist with all the autographs i was handing out, but nevermind that, go get electric boogaloo and learn the true meaning of life
