I gave this to a friend for her birthday. It is very beautiful and until it is opened and you can view each month, you have no idea the captivating art that is there. It is truly a piece of art for any room. My friend loves it too!

Breaking Bounds calendars have been gracing my wall for 5 years now and I hope they still are in 5 more years. Lois Greenfield captures the energy and grace of dancers making the dancers feel more like art than anything else. There are always a couple pictures that I really hate, which I think is the mark of an artist who is pushing limits successfully.

The joys of this photographer and these pictures is that a month is barely enough time to go from the `wow' factor through the `amazing', `how do they do that' to a great appreciation of dance and those who dedicate themselves to it before another month begins.

As a double bass player, I bought this calendar because I saw the cover and thought, "That isn't something you should do to a double bass". I imagine most people would feel the same way seeing the dance moves of three or four people together in air.

The calendar has a lovely large full 11 by 13 inch picture, oversized, and some minor dance pictures down in the date space. There is plenty of space to write in each day, or leave mini notes.

Each year's calendar rises steeply in value and I would recommend getting this one before the same happens. Even if you already have a calendar, for a child, teen or lover of dance, or ballet, this will open their eyes to what is possible beyond the practice.

I buy this calandar "breaking bounds" every year. I absolutely love the serene, yet amazingly artistic pictures Greenfield is able to capture! Each year they are even more amazing. My at home office is very sleek, modern, black and white - by hanging Greenfield's calandar in the office, it ads just the right amount of calm and wimsy to break up the space and help "me" create ...... I highly recommend this calandar!

This was an amazing calendar for 2009 from Lois Greenfield! Specially recommended for those who are searching for dance/dancers b&w pictures and love the movements behind them.. Absolutely great! I gave this item only four stars because as a calendar, the size of the numbers and the color combination for the months wasn't the best.

I buy this calendar every year for my sister; she liked some of the pictures so much she had them framed. I also love the fact that they have smaller picutures on the bottom portion of the calendar.

love this Lois Greenfield calendar! beautiful black and white photos and nice size boxes for writing in important dates to remember.

I buy the Breaking Bounds calendar every year and am never disappointed. Each month I'm sorry to turn away from a photo, but at the same time am anxious to see the next one. I don't want to know how Lois Greenfield and the amazing dancers she photographs accomplish this art because I love the magical quality in these creations.

The human body is beautiful and the calendar does an excellent job showing just that.
