Book Description

This innovative curriculum for dealing with anger problems in students grades 5-8, allows teachers the structure and flexibility to teach students new and creative ways to deal with their anger. The units are filled with activities and games that will allow students to explore how they currently react to anger situations and to choose new and healthier ways to react. The topics are divided into three sections; Anger Educational Model, Anger Skills, and Interpersonal Skills. This curriculum can be used in a step-by-step fashion beginning with unit one and ending with unit seven, or it can be used as completely independent studies on each unit topic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!!!, January 11, 2006
This review is from: Breaking Down the Wall of Anger: Interactive Games and Activities (Paperback)
I bought this book after leafing through it at a counseling fair and wasn't really sure what I was getting. When I had the opportunity to look closely at the book and activities I was really excited. If you subscribe to cognitive-behavioral theories and want a good book to address anger management issues with middle school (and possibly high school) students, this is the book for you. It has practical and creative activities that can be used in individual and group settings. I am a school counselor in an alternative middle school and these activities work with even the toughest kids. It is a wonderful resource and I highly recommend this book!!
