Worth the 14 year quest.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Breaking Glass (Audio CD)
I saw the movie back in 85, 87, or 87 (I can't remember now) on The USA network's Nightflight. Watching a movie at 2:00 a.m. after a "night out" makes it little more than a blurr in the back of my mind. But I never forgot the music and set out to find the album. Not an easy task back in late 1980's Boise, Idaho. My quest ended last year in the U District at Tower Records in Seattle when I stumbled upon the CD in the soundtrack section. Well worth the wait. Even though the analog to digital conversion leaves the sound a little flat, the CD is still worth having. I envy those with the LP who are able to listen to the music as it was intended. If you are a Punk Rock fan and you get a chance to own this album, take it.

Loved It,

I have to agree with the reviewer from Spokane. Finding this soundtrak on CD has been a journey 10 years + in the making. I too saw the movie on Nightflight as a preteen and have had these songs stuck in my head ever since. I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of punk music (with the exception of Sonic Youth, RATM and early Nirvana) but this definitely sticks to the ribs and of course, it's always a treat to hear a female vocalist more concerned with screaming out lyrics than which crochet tank top to wear in her latest video. This is a gem and after all these years of searching for the disk, I can honestly say my life is complete.

A raw, powerful, materpiece of early 80's punk/new wave.,

I saw the film on HBO in the early 80's and i never forgot the music. I finally got hold of the soundtrack on CD and it was everything I remember: a raw, powerful, materpiece of early 80's punk. I am so glad that there are many out there who agree. For punk/new wave fans a must have.
