Editorial Reviews

Creative and original, Breaking Kayfabe is an arresting and intelligent album from 19-year-old rapper/producer Cadence Weapon (AKA Rollie Pemberton), hailing from Edmonton, Already on the receiving end of worldwide critical acclaim, this is a release that needs to be heard and felt to be understood. Big Dada.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Debut, February 15, 2007
This review is from: Breaking Kayfabe (Audio CD)
Breaking Kayfabe is hands down one of the best albums I heard in 2006. Tight, original beats, intelligent and arresting verses, and a sense of genuineness that shines through. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing!, October 31, 2008
This review is from: Breaking Kayfabe (Audio CD)
This is a great album! If your not feeling what the radio has to offer, for about the last 10 years, then this cd is for you. My favorite tracks are sharks, holy smoke, turning on your sign, oliver square and vicarious. Great album from a very unique artist. If you like lil' wayne, you probably won't like this. If you like real hip hop, than pick it up.
