This book addresses a very real problem that is almost completely dismissed by doctors. I have had my struggles getting off of SSRI drugs and was NEVER once warned what would happen if I had to stop them. Well, I moved abroad and had to go cold turkey years ago and I had no idea what was happening to me, I thought I was dying. I finally found my symptoms online and made the connection to withdrawal. It was frightening and rough and not once was I warned or prepared for this by doctors.

I've since gone back on the drugs, but like the book tells you, it describes how it will not cure you and eventually you just go downhill and become dependent on these drugs. I am ready to get off of them for good and hope not too much damage has been done. Had I known what I know now I would NEVER have taken these medicines. I have contacted my doctor to find out about tapering and will update with how this program works- I can't say if it does yet since I haven't tried it. But regardless, if you have ever thought about taking any of these drugs or are currently taking them, you NEED to read this- I believe this should be in the hands of every patient and doctor who has dealt with these medicines. And shame on the drug companies for keeping this information hidden, I've lost so many years of my life to these drugs but all I can do is move forward.
