Have used this range finder for 2 rounds and so far it's ideal! Simple to use, does not seem to pick up background objects or give erooneous readings. Compares with my friends' more expensive range finders within +/- 1 yard when shooting same flag on the green. Compact size is perfect & comes with a nice case to protect it during storage. Can't beat the price & so far the performance is great!

I have owned a few range finders, I haven't been happy with most. This one works great, I live in the area of the North East where in the fall it rains, the spring it rains even more. I have had yet one survive the rain or be accurate. This little guy, did the trick. It survived the rain and provides bright clear images. It also has this overlapping technology which is great for those far off shots and you have deep dark woods in the back-ground. Over all very satisfied with this unit and I am buying a spare for my guests to use so they don't use mine! Love it!

Exceeded my expectations. I have used other major brands and found that for ease of use, clarity, battery life, still on #1 after 6 rounds, the Breaking 80 cannot be beat. Even impressed a few of my die hard brand name only golfers. I have no problem picking up pins, railroad ties on water hazards, trees in play and mounds surrounding bunkers. I have checked the yardage with my techie friends and it is spot on. Best of all, you get yardage to your actual target, not front-middle or back.

When I bought the Breaking 80 Range Finder I immediately made a beeline for the golf range. I knew other golfers would be there with there very expensive range finders. I also knew that the targets on the range, greens, colored poles et al would be listed at there exact distances by the owners of the range. I don't want to write a novel, so I will simply say that my buddies with there double the price, and more, than my Breaking 80 were shocked when I came up with the same distances to a bunch of targets that they did. You could see the look in there eyes saying, "I've been ripped off." BTW The Breaking 80 has really helped on the golf courses I play. If my pinseeker locks in at let's say 137 yds, or 214 yds I pull that club without hesitation. I trust my Breaking 80 Range Finder to get me to my target. Oh yes, my game has improved.

Compact, accurate and easy to use. I have used it next to players using much more expensive rangefinders and it is just as accurate as theirs.

I bought two ( one for me and one for my wife ). Both are hard to use. They tend to give you yardage to trees well behind the green instead of the flag .

I wanted to believe that this rangefinder would work well -- it's a couple hundred dollars less than the Bushnell rangefinder that I used for years, it's more compact, and it's orange, it looks good. I got the rangefinder and took it out for a 3 round tournament. By the middle of the second round, I was asking my playing partners for distances. I know how to use a rangefinder, and I know how to put the center cross hairs on the target and shoot the distance. I had no problems for many years with my more expensive Bushnell. This one is awful. At times, it does seem to work perfectly. Other times, there's no explanation for what happens....I would shoot the distance 5 times from the same spot and get different numbers each time. Distances were off by as much as 30, 40, 50 yards, sometimes you could explain the issue with background objects/trees, but it would happen even when there were no background objects that could explain the problem. At one point, I shot the distance to the flag and got 196 yards...I did it several times, just to be sure. No background issues, just the flag. I was standing on the 150 yard marker (to center of green), and my playing partner used his Bushnell and got 147 to the flag. He then took this rangefinder from me, shot the distance, and said "it says 196". He shook his head. I shook my head. I hit my 150 club pin high. That was the last straw.
