4.0 out of 5 stars Great primer and "how to" for women on client golf, October 1, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Breaking the grass ceiling: A woman's guide to golf as a business tool
Friendly, sage advice on how to take advantage of a very useful business tool. Ms. Leonhardt disspells the myth that most women have about playing golf: too difficult to learn how to play and too intimidating. Practice and professional instruction will help develop you as a player and in less time than most people think. She further comments on looking at golf in the same way that you look at business: know the rules, dress the part, and be professional. Skill and playing ability will all come in time. Game knowledge and proper etiquette will score points for you with clients even for a high handicapper. As a female executive who has successfully closed many deals on the golf course, playing golf has more than leveled the playing field, giving me distinct advantages over colleagues and competition.
