This book provides the reader with a comprehensive description of the role of glutathione and its secrets. Drs. Bounous and Somersall have produced a meticulously-documented and well-written book that presents over two decades of scientific research (published in hundreds of peer-review scientific and medical journals) that clearly spotlights the critical significance of the ubiquitous tri-peptide molecule GLUTATHIONE, its important nutritional precursors, and their pivotal role in increasing immune function. A must-read for anyone battling immune dysfunction or chronic fatigue syndrome, or persons generally wanting to improve their health.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story of a medical discovery & its impact on health., March 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Breakthrough In Cell-Defense (Paperback)
An excellent book, it relates the complexities of the immune system in easy to understand layman's terms. The book explains how glutathione is so important to maintain good health. The story of Dr Bounous and his discovery is fascinating to say the least. The book kept me glued to it, and was a relatively quick read. I would like to thank the authors for a compelling look inside the research world and a great learning experience. For anyone interested in their health and looking to maintain it, this book is a must read
