I find it annoying that this is not the original radio version of this song. The production on this one is cleaner and there are noticeable differences in the sound. The singing is in tune, but I swear some of the harmonies and timing have been reworked. Sometimes the original is better only because it brings back memories of when you first heard it. I was not able to find the original anywhere except on a greatest hits album which cost more. Other than that, the song is still pretty good.

I was hoping to find the original 1981 recording of this, one of my favorite tunes of the 1980s. Unfortunately, this is a re-recording, not the original. I'll be holding out for the original recording before I download.

I was working at UCSD (university of california, san diego). The Greg Kihn Band had been booked for the Friday afternoon band spot on campus before this song broke. In the time between the booking and the event they arrived nationally with this song. They still turned up, honoring the commitment, and played with total enthusiasm, when they probably could have been else at least doing PR and probably making lots of money. I think they deserve you buying this song. You know it is a guilty pleasure. Go for it - it is only 99c.
