5.0 out of 5 stars A GROUNDBREAKING BOOK!, March 4, 2008
This review is from: The Breast Stays Put: No Chemo-No Radiation-No Lumpectomy-No Thank You (Paperback)
In THE BREAST STAYS PUT: No Chemo -- No Radiation -- No Lumpectomy -- No Thank You, Pam Hoeppner tells her story of going against the grain of conventional cancer treatment. After a needle biopsy proved the lump in her breast to be an extremely aggressive estrogen-positive malignant cancer, Pam said NO to her doctor's urgent recommendation of immediate surgery followed by chemotherapy. She kept her breast intact and went on to cure herself using a single alternative non-toxic treatment instead.

It is not easy to turn a subject like battling cancer into a fun read, but this author has done just that. As is evident from the title, Hoeppner chooses to present her story with humor. She organizes the book with insightfully funny chapter titles and subtitles like "I'm All Out of Cute," "Honey I Just Fired the Osha-cologist," and "Talk to the Breast - The Boob's Not Listening." Though she never mocks the seriousness of cancer, her writing style helps take the edge off the fear that so often accompanies this dreaded disease. She also never says "This is the way YOU should do it." Her message is simply, "I beat my cancer diagnosis without losing my breast, my hair, or even a single healthy cell in my body . . . and if you want to know more, this is how I did it."

Two things make this a groundbreaking book:

(1) This is one of very few books in existence describing the successful recovery from breast cancer using NO conventional treatment at all. (Not even a hormone-blocking drug.)

(2) This is the FIRST book written by a cancer survivor about her personal recovery using Protocel. As someone who is very familiar with the Protocel formula, I can attest to the fact that many other women have also cured themselves of breast cancer using this product, and countless people have used it to completely recover from other types of cancer as well. Hoeppner even presents other Protocel recovery stories on her website www.TheBreastStaysPut.com. I think potential readers will be comforted to know that this was NOT a shot-in-the-dark type of approach that just happened to work for Pam. Her book is groundbreaking, however, as the first book to document a Protocel cancer recovery from beginning to end.

In THE BREAST STAYS PUT, Hoeppner also dispels the myth that alternative approaches to cancer are only focused on fortifying one's immune system so that the body can heal itself. She clearly explains how Protocel actually kills cancer in a unique way. Though National Cancer Institute tests found it to be more effective than chemotherapy, the NCI and FDA chose not to pursue it as a cancer drug in the 1990s. So Protocel was marketed as a dietary supplement and has remained somewhat underground ever since. It is now an important and obtainable option for everyone and, as this author states in her book, knowing about Protocel in advance was her "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

My hat goes off to Pam Hoeppner for presenting her story in a way that will grab the hearts and minds of the public and undoubtedly save many lives. ANYONE considering going against the grain of conventional medical dogma, no matter what approach they choose or whether they are a man or a woman, will find this an inspiring and rewarding book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring, Insightful, Incredible, February 25, 2008

This review is from: The Breast Stays Put: No Chemo-No Radiation-No Lumpectomy-No Thank You (Paperback)
I was recently given this book to read by someone close in my life to help understand what they are going through with cancer and their choice for not going with the standard, Western way.

From the first line, Pam Hoeppner grabs your hand and takes you on her incredible journey she has been on. She speaks to you like you're an old friend, and explains in clear detail what she did and how she did it, all the while keeping a brave face. This book not only explores alternative treatment to cancer using Protocel, it also indirectly explores the power of positive thinking.

For anyone out there who has questions to today's modern medicine in treating cancer, this is definitely a book worth reading.
Even if you don't explore alternative therapy, this book is so uplifting for anyone stricken with disease, it will surely give you huge hope.

I give the author credit for following her own path and sharing what she learned with others in as honest a way as she did. However, as a nurse practitioner and cancer patient I want to present a different opinion. I had a breast lump come up (2nd time) so a friend urged me to read this book to talk me out of having the lump removed. Although I appreciated her journey, the book actually put me more at ease at having my lumpectomy. I was home from the procedure before noon. The actual surgery was less than an hour. I healed very nicely. I took 1 pain pill total in all my recovery. All the medical people in my encounter were caring and competent.

Compare this to months of taking Protocel around the clock causing uncomfortable side effects and the UNBELIEVABLE burden of living with the "unknown" of whether the medicine is working and having the lump still be there months and months later! That seems like a more difficult road to me than conventional treatment.

The lump I had removed was cancer. The receptors on this cancer were different from the first one which was very good information to have. This time it is estrogen positive. The treatment recommended for me is to take tamoxifen, one little pill a day. I have no side effects as yet. I think it is wonderful medical research has found a little pill to treat certain types of breast cancer. Yet I'd still consider taking Protocel to clear up any lingering cells.

For me it isn't a me against them mentality. I try to be open to the wonderful advancements that have been made as well as considering methods and treatments from other sources. Whoever and whatever will help I want to be open to but not blindly following someone else's path.
I too get frustrated with the limitations of western medicine but I do not discount the progress they have made in many areas.
We are all very individual and there are many choices to make and it is very overwhelming but ultimately we pick and choose what treatments fit into our beliefs.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, May 12, 2008
This review is from: The Breast Stays Put: No Chemo-No Radiation-No Lumpectomy-No Thank You (Paperback)
Well I just finished reading this book and let me start off by saying WOW!. This was one of the best books I have ever read. Pam Hoeppner really inspired me and opened my eyes in so many ways. I truly believe this book is a gift to everyone. Before reading this I have to admit I really questioned if Protocel alone would really destroy the cancer cells - well let me tell you there is no doubt in my mind now. I feel so blessed to have read this book. It is like a powerful tool that is on my side if I ever have to face something of this nature. I wish everyone would read this BEFORE they are diagnosed because let me tell you after I finished there is no way I would face anything without Protocel.

I have the funniest story to tell. I had been reading my husband little parts of the book here and there and he seemed interested...I just didn't know how interested. I came home from the store one day to find him in our big leather chair with the cat in his lap reading The Breast Stays Put. Now how funny is that! I should have taken a picture. As I stood there in amazement he said this is pretty damn good. This is some compliment because he has not read a book since college. He became obsessed with reading it and we would soon start fighting over whose turn it was. He would say hey, listen to this Pam is talking to her boobs...she cracks me up, or hey, you really need to start taking iodine. Who would have thought a man would get so much out of this. Just goes to show you what a great author you are.

We looked at each other one day just after finishing the book and said well if we are ever diagnosed, Protocel it is! Amazing that two people who didn't even know a whole lot about that magical little potion and would have probably listened to whatever our doctor had told us to do now feel so strongly that Protocel is the right choice.

Thank you so much for this gift!.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks, Pam, From those of us who needed to hear this!, February 22, 2008
This review is from: The Breast Stays Put: No Chemo-No Radiation-No Lumpectomy-No Thank You (Paperback)
With the number of women diagnosed with Breast Cancer mounting every day, I believe the world is in need of information concerning the different ways to deal with and come out the other side of this unwanted experience. Pam does this for us. She tells her story in detail, so we can relate and extract information that will help us make decisions that are critical to our journey back to wellness.

I happen to also be a believer that the human body is designed to heal itself of all illness when given the right conditions. I have also taken this journey, and along the way I longed to talk to or hear from someone who had gone before me and won the war.

Thank you, Pam, for sharing your experience so we can all learn and make health decisions for ourselves. Your style of writing is very refreshing. When I wasn't laughing, I was crying! Through your wit and honesty, you touched the heart of what every woman goes through when she is faced with this life challenge.

5.0 out of 5 stars First-person account of victory over breast cancer!, February 19, 2008
By
This review is from: The Breast Stays Put: No Chemo-No Radiation-No Lumpectomy-No Thank You (Paperback)
"Mrs. Hoeppner, I'm afraid it's cancer." With those words Pamela Hoeppner's world tilted on its axis, and nothing was ever the same. But this was one lady who wasn't about to go down without a fight--and, in fact, she planned to knock the Big C on its ear! Hoeppner writes both candidly and compellingly in her memoir about winning the battle against breast cancer--a diagnosis that many people consider an unspoken death sentence. But with her background in wellness and a strong belief in God, she decided to take an alternative approach to treatment, believing in the body's natural ability to heal itself and the providence of a God who gives us all the tools we need for victory. Hoeppner provides readers "a window to look through," and a form of empowerment against cancer. Most of all she simply tells her story about winning her life back through the alternative treatment Protocel. Note: This is NOT a book for the squeamish, but then again when you're facing a cancer diagnosis, all of life takes on a nitty-gritty hue. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis of any type, but especially for women dealing with breast cancer.

This is one of the best books I have read. Grabs you by the seat of your pants and keeps you going until you come to a halt! Pam dives right in and gives a first-hand account of the trials, tribulations and strength that a person goes through after that first diagnosis of breast cancer. She is insightful, graphic, and downright hilarious throughout. Her walk with God and the choices she made are a true inspiration. I only pray that more people read her book and find out that they can cure cancer other ways than conventional medicine. FANTASTIC reading! More, More!

This woman did her homework, took her own life in her hands and healed herself with an alternative form of medicine. She had lots of Faith in our Lord. Without God, i couldn't do it. I had a lumpectomy and no radiation or chemo. Just changed my eating habits and livestyle, homepathic herbs and care from a Homepathic Dr., prayer/healing scriptures. i am also going on protocel. its a preventative as well as healing. I now have thermograms instead of mammograms. i feel the mammograms caused my cancer. My Grandma, Mother, Sister and Aunts never got mammograms and never had any problems. I am thankful for all the women out there who are sharing their stories. God Bless them:

Until modern medicine finds a cure-which they don't have one to offer-more people are going to turn to Alternative Care.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for anyone wanting hope., July 28, 2008

This is a truly wonderful and enlightning book about the alternative treatments of cancer. I am fighting breast cancer my self and although i went down the conventional method of treatment before learning of an alternative treatment i found this book very encouraging as i am fully aware of the amount of times that cancer can return. I have decided to take protocel as a back up and found this book very detailed in Pams walk through the cancer battle using this alternative method od treatment. Pam paints a fantastic picture for her readers in sharing her fears her delights her diagnosis her feelings throughout this experience and the feelings of those around her who loved her and helped her though her cancer story.
Pam thank you for taking the time to write this book so that others may get the hope that you have.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Fantastic Book!, July 3, 2008
This review is from: The Breast Stays Put: No Chemo-No Radiation-No Lumpectomy-No Thank You (Paperback)
This book is a well-written "eye-witness" account of how the author, Pam Hoepnner, conquered cancer using ONLY alternative medicine, namely Protocel. Pam clearly explains Protocel's unique method of causing cancer cells to "self destruct." As the author of a book on cancer and someone who is familiar with Protocel, I can personally attest to the fact that many women have cured their cancer with this product.

However, most oncologists still think "inside the box" when it comes to cancer treatment. Sadly, the cancer "box" is largely the creation of multinational pharmaceutical companies attempting to peddle their poisons (such as chemotherapy) in an effort to increase shareholder profits.

Unfortunately, many people are brainwashed into believing that their doctor is a "god" and must never be questioned. But Pam had the audacity to tell her doctors "NO" when they wanted to cut out her breast and then poison her with chemo. As a result of her decision, she is alive and well and cancer free.

This is not only a "must read" book for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer, but it is required reading for anyone interested in thinking "outside the box" and reading a first hand account of how effective alternative cancer treatments really are. I highly recommend this book.
