About the Author
Nancy Mohrbacker is an accredited La Leche League Leader and international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She is also the founder of The Art of Breastfeeding, founded in 1993 as a way of helping more families meet their breastfeeding goals. Nancy breastfed her own three boys, each for well over a year, and has been working with breastfeeding families since 1982. She is President of the Northern Illinois Lactation Consultant Association. Nancy is known internationally for her expertise on breastfeeding. Doctors, nurses, lactation consultants, mother-support breastfeeding counselors and public health workers use her books, articles, and pamphlets. POCKET GUIDE TO THE BREASTFEEDING ANSWER BOOK, is a comprehensive research-based counseling guide that is also used to train lactation educators. Nancy served for 11 years in La Leche League's Publications Department, both as Managing Editor of La Leche League International’s magazine for members (New Beginnings) and leaders (Leaven) and wrote many of La Leche League’s pamphlets. From 1992 to 1995 she wrote the breastfeeding column in Baby Talk magazine.
