This book is a condensation of all of the books on our shelf! I am a Lactation consultant at a Level 3 hospital. We have a least a dozen or more books of breastfeeding and Lactation. Of course we take the time to read and study about breastfeeding but medical schools and nursing schools do not include much, if any, information about breast milk or lactation. This book is a great, easy reference that the doctor can reach for and get ACCURATE information. One of the doctors included on the staff that developed the book is Dr Ruth Lawrence, who wrote the medical textbook, "Breastfeeding, a Guide for the Medical Profession." when I saw her name listed I knew the information would be correct! Great book for a busy physician.
