The Breastfeeding Comprehensive Series (including the Intensive DVD) shows women what to expect and what they need to know/do for success in an inspiring, but straightforward way. Nearly every question an expectant or new mother might have about breastfeeding is answered by experts, important visual details are demonstarted with 3-D animation and living role models - in less than an hour.
This is not dry educational material! It ranks right up there with Discovery Channel and 20/20.
Every expectant couple who views it will feel informed, encouraged and empowered as they venture into parenthood. It's the perfect gift for a pregnant friend or family member who is planning to breastfeed.

First of all there are not enough stars available to rate the quality of this film! I would give it an easy 10 out of 10!!
I just watched "Breastfeeding Intensive" and it is the very best breastfeeding video I have ever seen, and having been involved with childbirth education and beyond for a very long time and also being a former LLL Leader, I have viewed a lot of them! This is done far superior to any of the others I have ever seem. Very comprehensive, an absolutely beautifully done movie!One you should add to your collection.

worth their retail price and more!

Are you looking for a little bit more than the basics of breastfeeding? If you are a parent-to-be, a friend or relative of a parent-to-be, or perhaps a healthcare professional who is looking for a beyond excellent breastfeeding video that has the best information with exceptional photography, you will find it in this DVD.
The basics are covered including the importance of preparation by education. A fascinating section on how the breast makes milk from early colostrum to mature milk is included. Parents will learn not just how to nurse, but how often, and how to know baby is getting enough. Recommendations for getting help and joining support groups are given.
If a 45 minute DVD on breastfeeding is the right time length for your needs, choose this DVD. Also check out the other DVDs in this series, the 20 minute "Breastfeeding Basics" and the 130 minute "Breastfeeding Comprehensive."
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant I strongly recommend this DVD. It is so beautiful, and so helpful by presenting the basics and just a little bit more. I give this way over 5 stars.
