5.0 out of 5 stars A breath of fresh air from California, 1969, December 21, 2011
By
This review is from: Breath of Fresh Air (Audio CD)
An oustanding psychedelic outfit from Los Angeles which started its life as California Grassfield and recorded only one album at Sunset Studios of Hollywood (1969, I suppose). According to Vernon Joynson it was originally released on Amaret label. Unusually creative blending of lengthy mesmerizing psychedelia with heavy guitars and organ, beautiful melodies and vocal harmonies...
The voice of Marc Piscitelli easily goes from hysterical fury on Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth" to mellow and sad abandon in original songs written by Louie Caridi.
Next to Piscitelli the line-up consisted of Peter Plumeri, Allen Carey, Tim Whitcanack and Mike Jones
