Everyone needs to listen to this, August 15, 2007

This is intelligent song-writing and performing at its best. I think this guy will become very famous with the right promotion. He has perfect pitch, able to move from head to chest voice to falsetto easily. The instrumentation is fantastic with beautiful, mournful cello matching the vocals, guitar and piano and bass at times I think. I loved it and would like to hear more from this talented musician. If he gave a concert here in Virginia, I'd go.

An American "Once", August 13, 2007

I first got this recording a couple of years ago and quite liked it for it's complicated simplicity, quirky vocals and gentle world view. Just recently, I popped it into the player again and was really blown away by how darn good it really is. As heartfelt and passionate as Glen Hansard in Once but a bit calmer and further away from the pop idiom. I really wish this guy had more stuff. He's great!
