Gaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I wanted to love this book so hard, so da** hard but I couldn't. I tried! I really did! I almost gave up reading it three times but I stuck with it knowing what was actually coming at the end and wanting to see how it all played out.

I really didn't want to leave this review because I feel like i'm talking smack about someones child. The author is pouring out a piece of their soul and then I come along and am all like "Yep, your souls is only worth two stars" BUT I feel as though since there is so many 4 and 5 stars that I need to explain why I feel this way. So here goes my rant.

When I found out the book was about a tattooed pierced bad boy I was all over that like white on rice. I would first like to say that we did not perhaps really see any of the 'bad boy' traits. Sure his past was mentioned a few times about his fighting and he lost his temper a few times during the book when Kelsey was knocked over BUUTTT I am pretty sure that, that is a natural response for any male. I know if you knock my ass over my hubby is going to tell you to check your s*** and to apologize. Just saying.

I feel as though the whole book was one long ride down a roller coaster it seems as though time flew by. They were already spilling their secrets right after meeting each other. Really? No way. Because the book didn't give us a real big background relationship on Kelsey and Jessi I was not emotionally invested in the characters at all. I also wanted to smack Jessi upside the head when she brought up Kelsey's "kiss" err excuse me unwelcomed advance from Walter and then laughed about the situation. I WOULD KICK HER ASS! Seriously how is that even funny? And to joke about it?

Hmmm .... I honestly don't know. I am at a lost as to where to start.
The story wasn't enticing nor did it capture my attention that much, but it also wasn't a total bust either.

I'm permanently on the fence with this one. I don't love it, but it's not the worse either. It is a definite cross between an almost good novel and a high school English Literature book report.

Kane ... Hmmm .... he was ok. But not much came from him. It's like he was necessary to have as a love interest but that's where the line was drawn. You didn't get much about or around him. He could have been a kick ass character if he was given the chance.

Kelsey .... she had her moments. There were times when the dialogue was ok and flowing and then it just totally veered off course. Around half way through the book, it seemed that the editor forgot to review a couple chapters, because there were so many editing errors.

Once again, you barely got anything from the supporting characters and the classroom scenes were vague and unnecessary. Most of the story felt like a manuscript with ideas, waiting to be expounded upon.

The major fight that normally accompanies a romance novel was monotonous and didn't strike much of a chord for me. The big climax that came literally at the end of the novel, was so fast paced without much build up or surprise. Everything went off in a flash and before you know it, you have reached the epilogue which is really just one page of the main character at a grave talking about nothing much in particular.

A few closure was awarded to us in the epilogue, but it wasn't much and surprisingly it was enough, because not much went on with the story to begin with.

The romance and sex scenes weren't much.

This is the first book I have purchased in a long time that is HARD to finish. The writing style is sloppy, the character dialouge is too long and drawn out and it makes for a almost painful reading experience. Even though I only paid $2.99 for this book I feel a little cheated. The amount of grammatical and spelling errors were distracting, but even with those problems fixed the story is too drawn out. I have resorted to skimming over the paragraphs rather than truly reading them fully, because honestly I don't need to read every word to understand what is going on. The storyline was interesting enough, but that couldn't overcome all of the problems with the book.

I hate to be so negative, but I truly want to warn people about this. There are many other $2.99 books available that are much more enjoyable and well written.

I feel bad writing critical reviews like this, but the writing in this story wasn't very good. It had a lot potential and great concept but was poorly executed. The dialog was painful. Everyone would speak in these long heartfelt monologues throughout the entire story. People don't speak that way it's not realistic. The editing was terrible so many grammatical errors it drove me crazy...edit your work. I felt like the story dragged, was unnecessarily wordy and then flew in the ending with overkill in drama. I'm going to assume this is a first book for the author because clearly inexperience is at play here my advice...hire a killer editor and let others read your writing along the way to help you improve before you publish. This was a waste of money for me.
