Invaders Must Die

Biography

The claustrophobic confines of a west London attic hideaway. Walls, covered in heavyweight purple curtains seem to bring the dimly lit room's parameters collapsing in as a huge computer screen’s wallpaper radiates the green glow of long hot summer. Its pastoral image of feudal tranquility is the room’s only window on the world. Look closer and there's a twist in this Constable painting. In the… Read more in Amazon's The Prodigy Store

5.0 out of 5 stars The first three tracks on this cd are very good, August 27, 1999

This is definately the best Prodigy single. It includes an excellent live version of their law and Poison, which is very different from the original. And also there is an instrumental track: "the trick". This one, the Poison single and the Out of Space single are worth to buy.

2.0 out of 5 stars This single has one good track, October 1, 2006
This review is from: Breathe / Poison / Trick / Their Law (Audio CD)
While 'Breathe' is one of Prodigy's most compelling songs, the "Breathe" single is one of the weakest. For starters, there is no remix of the title track. Is it too much to ask for a remixed version of 'Breathe' on the "Breathe" single? For many listeners, the existence of singles are only justified by the inclusion of remixes. Anyhow, the first track is the same version as featured on "The Fat of the Land." Thus, you already have that tune. Live tracks are useful for those who haven't had a chance to see a band perform. Unfortunately, 'Their Law' and 'Poison' aren't very good advertisements. Perhaps it's because the two tracks sound like audience recordings. Whatever the reason may be, they just sound like noise. The balance of live and studio tracks make it clear that Prodigy is a band best enjoyed through the studio rather than on stage. 'Trick' is the real gem here. It is an instrumental track that features the same hard techo sound as found on the corresponding LP. Out of the three singles off "Fat of the Land," "Breathe" is the weakest after "Firestarter" and "Smack My B**ch Up."
