This product works well for snoring.

The adhesive on the Breathe Right is so strong, that when I went to remove the BR the next morning, it ripped the skin off of my nose.

These do not stay adhered to my nose all night, even after a good cleaning/oil removal prior to applying.

I've used the standard clear strips for 6 months now - I have constant sinus congestion and generally can't inhale easily. The strips really helped me sleep, but there was still breathing resistance. So when I picked up a pack of clear strips and got six Advanced strips for free, I wanted to see if they'd be any better. Since "Advanced" products usually use the placebo effect (marketing + double the price with no actual improvement), I decided to use some science.

I used the Decibel app on my iPhone to measure the loudness of three deep inhalations, each with my nose at the tip of the phone, then averaged their peak loudnesses. I repeated this with a regular clear strip, and an Advanced strip. Here were the results:

Control (no strip): 75dB avg
Normal clear strip: 64dB avg
Advanced strip: 56dB avg

So there you have it - the advanced strip led to significantly quieter breathing, and in my case, that breathing felt easier. Whether it's right for you depends. I'm waiting for Costco to start carrying them, then I'm making the switch.

I use a Breathe Right Nasal Strip (Small/Medium, Clear) every night because I have allergies and a deviated septum. I feel like I can't breathe if I don't wear one! So I was curious to see what the Advanced strips can do. I didn't expect much difference, but I must admit, these provide significantly better airflow. This is probably the best I've *ever* been able to breathe through my nose. In fact, the airflow might even be *too* good. My nasal passages felt a little raw and chilled (cold room), and I soon developed a headache (which, to be fair, might not have been caused by the strip).

Another drawback of the Advanced strip is that it left a much-more-conspicuous mark (compared to the regular strips) on my nose after removal. The skin under the top section of the strip turned white, and now, 30 minutes after removal, it's still noticeable.

It looks like Breathe Right decided to make the Advanced strips a compromise between the small/medium strips and the large strips (rather than offering both sizes). The upper segment is the same length as their regular small/medium strips, and the lower segment (which is placed at about the same position as a regular strip) is much longer. I have a fairly large nose, but I felt like both segments were too long, with the bottom segment extending onto my cheeks and the upper segment ending just millimeters from my under-eye skin.

I use the clear "sensitive skin" strips without problem, but I found the adhesive in these clear strips to be not quite adequate. The initial adhesion was fine, but by morning, the lower segment had mostly detached on one side.

I am having surgery on a deviated septum and turbinate reduction in a few weeks. Needless to say, breathing through my nose is impossible for the most part. With this strip I can breathe out of one nostril which is a huge improvement! I put one on when I get home from work so I can eat without having to chew with my mouth open and gross out my family. The air where I live is also so dry, mouth breathing is not fun at all. So even though I still struggle with breathing, this little strip makes a world of a difference. The one downside is be careful when taking it off. I accidentally put it on wrong and when I pulled it off the strip left a bruise that went across the bridge of my nose. I had a lot of people asking me if I had gotten into a fight recently.

These are a slight improvement over the 'extra' version. They do help open your nasal passages; I would say about 30-40% increase in airflow. Occasionally they will have trouble sticking to your nose so try not to touch the adhesive side too much and make sure your nose isnt oily. Once its applied, dont touch it or it will lose the adhesive. Correct placement is also important to properly open your nasal passages. They are a bit pricey, but they do work and provide instant, drug free relief. They are definitely worth a try if you've got a stuffy nose all the time like I do.

As several other reviewers have noted, these strips work better--for a few hours, but lose adhesion long before morning. Previously, I've been using the clear strips. Other people have had trouble with those adhering too, but they mostly work for me, so I'm going back to them.

Breathe-Right--you need to fix the adhesive issues!

I personally find the Breathe Right "Extra" strips to be a step up from the regular ones. However, these "Advanced" strips have a design which seems to provide an even better result than the Extras, but it's not definitive.

The primary problem is that they're only available as "Clear" strips. I've always found the plastic "springs" in the original Clear Breathe Rights to be very weak and the adhesive in those strips to be poor. Both aspects are improved in this version, but the adhesive is still lacking. It's not as good as the adhesive on the Tan strips, and it leaves a residue on your nose which can be difficult to clean off. Because of this, I find the Extra strips to be more convenient.

I'm still not sure which is better, but I think I'll probably use the Extras most of the time, while keeping these around for occasional use, since they do open my nasal passages better.
