I have a five year old who's had sinus issues for a couple of years now. He's been tested for allegies (negative) and has several sinus infections a year. I've found that he gets congested when he eats foods containing dairy or soy, so I've cut those out of his diet. The ENTs suspect that he has large sinuses, and he's just been for a CT scan. All this to say that we've been battling congestion seriously for a long time. When he's in school, especially during the Winter and Spring, we usually have to irrigate his nose nightly. If he catches a cold, then twice a day. But no matter what the time of year or the state of his health, he wears a Breathe Right kids nose strip to bed every night. Without it, he does not sleep well. I couldn't give him a decongestant every night, but I feel completely comfortable putting a nose strip on him nightly. I will say that I make sure I wash his nose (on the outside) before putting the strip on, not only to help it stick, but to avoid a skin infection - in Winter when the heat is on and his skin is dry, removing the strip can take off some of the skin on the side of his nose. During those times, I wet the strip thoroughly before carefully peeling it off. The rest of the time he takes them off himself, which brings me to the only down side - nose strips discarded here and there around the house!

This is a great alternative for kids when they have a stuffy nose and can't breathe at night. My son loves putting these one at night, he describes it as his "nose opening up" which sounds like I too am getting a better nights sleep! Try these before medicine, they might just do the trick!

My 5 year old daughter has snored loudly since she was a baby. My Dad recently made a joke that she needed to wear Breathe Right strips so I ordered some and after a week of wearing them, she's a new kid! I used to spend 15 minutes getting her out of bed and another 15 trying to get her to get her to get ready for school. Now she gets up on her own and comes downstairs ready for school. I'm beginning to think that my difficult child has been sleep deprived all of these years. I'm going to talk to her pediatrician at her next appointment about possible permanent solutions but for now, these work wonders!!!I did notice that some of them don't stick as well as I would like so I make sure that she washes her face before bed and we wait until it's completely dry before applying. 2115|R3FLT0WKRVOLK2;2115|R3VLVICXW0GT07;2115|R3EJ11U9E8VSCG;
