5.0 out of 5 stars Breath Right, a Breath of Fresh Air
I have used the Breath Right product for several years now and I use it daily. Prior to that, I was practically addicted to nasal spray...my snoring would wake the dead, I kid you not. The day I started the Breath Rights, the first thing my wife said to me that morning was "I can't believe they actually worked..!!"

I knew I had a snoring/sleep apnea problem...

I got some of those "Breathe Right" strips you see ad. on TV because my nostrils are stuffed up or swollen enough so it's easier for me to breathe through my mouth at night causing very dry mouth, snoring, etc. It's true that these strips open up the passages and make it easier and comfortable to breathe through the nose, BUT I was left with a very red swollen nose (past...

5.0 out of 5 stars Breath Right, a Breath of Fresh Air, February 23, 2007
This review is from: Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Large, Tan, 38-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
I have used the Breath Right product for several years now and I use it daily. Prior to that, I was practically addicted to nasal spray...my snoring would wake the dead, I kid you not. The day I started the Breath Rights, the first thing my wife said to me that morning was "I can't believe they actually worked..!!"

I knew I had a snoring/sleep apnea problem and these are well worth the ten bucks a month I spend on them. Short of nasal surgery or one of those forced air machines, I don't believe there is a better solution.

Yes, they look stupid, and I've used them so long I have sometimes been seen in public with one still on my nose. Not intentionally, since they are certainly not a fashion statement.

You do need to make sure your nose is clean and oil free before applying. You should also experiment a little with the positioning until to ultimately find the sweet spot.

Thanks to the fine folks at Breath Right that actually came up with an inexpensive snoring reduction solution that works without a chemical or artificial ingredient. Uncle Willie

5.0 out of 5 stars These actually work!, September 8, 2006

I'd seen these worn by football players and other athletes on TV and always figured they were a gimick. However, I figured I'd give them a try to see if they would help me breath better at night. Amazing how well they work! They somehow pull your nose open and allow you to breath while not causing you any discomfort.

I highly recommend these!

I got some of those "Breathe Right" strips you see ad. on TV because my nostrils are stuffed up or swollen enough so it's easier for me to breathe through my mouth at night causing very dry mouth, snoring, etc. It's true that these strips open up the passages and make it easier and comfortable to breathe through the nose, BUT I was left with a very red swollen nose (past 2 days), and a little area where the skin came off so it bled and left a small gash. Am afraid I don't appreciate the night-time effects enough to put up with the daytime side effects.

I have used these for awhile and now I wonder how I ever slept without them. If I didn't have them, I'd probably need to have surgery on my nose. Buying them through the Subscribe and Save program is the least expensive way that I've found of purchasing them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helps reduce snoring, March 26, 2008

As the box says, these will reduce snoring. Don't expect them to eliminate snoring 100%. They do keep my nasal passages open and help me breathe easier at night. My wife uses the clear ones, as they have less adhesive and are easier to remove.

I had some of these lying around in a drawer for several years, and then out of desparation, I tried them. I can't attest to this, but they may have saved my life. I sleep more soundly, wake less often, dream more often, and wake in the morning feeling more...a lot more...rested. If you have trouble breathing at night, they are definetly worth a try. THANKS!!

Even though I make sure to wash and dry the area first, for some reason the adhesive refuses to stick all night.

So although the product itself works great (yes, it really does open up the nasal passages and minimize/stop snoring) for the length of time the adhesive works, I find that halfway through the night the little "wings" on the side of my nose have sprung up no matter where I put them on my nose (even following the directions as to placement and trying both sizes) while the adhesive on the part in the middle of my nose is strong enough to peel off a layer of skin when I'm removing it. I've even gone so far as to use adhesive tape to keep the wings down, but that doesn't always work either.

A couple of the cheaper store brands actually have better adhesive, but the "spring action" isn't as good.

So, in the end, the Breathe Right strips work for the length of time they stay on, and if the adhesive on the "wings" were a bit stronger, I'd give them five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars love these things!, September 9, 2011
This review is from: Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Large, Tan, 38-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
one of the side effects i have from being pregnant is a stuffy nose, which was making me snore terribly; it was keeping my husband up and i even woke myself up!i just didn't sleep well at all. the very first night i tried the strips, i was impressed, amazed, and we were both well rested! although the adhesive can make it a bit difficult to remove in the morning, i'm not complaining since the benefits outweigh that aspect of it.

I have used the Breathe Right tan nasal strips every night for years and they work well. However I tried the clear strips and found they do not stay on as well as the tan ones.

My husband is a loud snorer. Not ever night--but almost every night. I have actually woke him up in the middle of the night and told him to put one of these nose strips on. Or I sneak one out of the box and slap it on his nose while he's sleeping! It really makss a difference. He doesn't stop snoring completely when wearing one of the nose strips but the volume certainly is dialed down. That is better than nothing!
