One of the main reasons that I came to yoga years ago was to learn how to breathe, based on the advice of my dentist. Yes, my dentist. He had told me that one of the main reasons that I had dental issues was because I was a mouth breather. So, I decided to take up yoga and work on it. I've made a lot of progress over the years, but am always reading things on the importance of breath and constantly working to learn more about the process of strengthening my breathing.
This kit is a really big help to me. Breathing books can only tell you so much - having the DVD really brings the lessons home. Gay Hendricks is a very gentle guide and his exercises are straightforward and easy to learn. The techniques presented really do make a difference in your breathing. I have even showed these exercises to other breathing impaired people and they noticed how much calmer and more clear they felt. Don't bother just getting any old breathing book - purchase this kit and notice the difference for yourself.

As a therapist I am always looking for tools that people can use on their own...in their own time and in their own quiet place. I tried this for myself and am now using it on a regular basis for therapy. It is amazing how many people pay no attention at all to their breathing! It has worked for teens with test anxiety and learning problems, people with the severe anxiety that comes with PTSD, with body and abuse issues, panic atacks, migraines, or even stress in relationships...the list goes on and on.
