This review is from: Breathless (Aka: A Bout de Souffle) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
This Studio Canal Blu-ray disc is now the best way to see Godard's new wave classic at home. There's a British, French and German version of this disc available, and they're all English compatible if you have region-free equipment. It's beautifully preserved here, looking like it did to those of us lucky to see it on it's initial US runs back in the day. Lion's Gate has yet to add this to their US Studio Canal Collection, but it's a definite improvement over the fine CRITERION standard DVD, with just as many cool extras.
A revelatory film that broke all the rules and influenced most of the great US directors of the sixties.
